Dollarama

Clean and lots of parking. I'm starting to get used to the store layout as it's usually a challenge to find things. Staff are helpful at this store.

I recently purchased 7 Christmas themed gift boxes at the Casselman location. I still wear a mask in public so I didn't notice the awful smell they had to them at the store. Once I got them home I noticed they reeked of mold & some of them had visible mold inside. Obviously they had been stored somewhere damp since last year. I brought them back to the store, not really sure what would happen because of the no return/exchange policy but figured at the very least I should bring the matter to the attention of the staff. I found a group of 4 workers in the Christmas aisle & explained the situation. The woman who took the lead was unnecessarily rude & matter of factly told me that cardboard takes on moisture and that's just how boxes smell. Basically calling me a liar even though there was VISIBLE mold. She said I could exchange them for others but I wasn't interested in taking my mask off to sniff hundreds of potentially moldy boxes in the busiest aisle of the store to find some that smelled less bad. I decided the $10.25 I had spent on the boxes wasn't worth making a scene so I told her to forget it. I threw the boxes in the dumpster in the parking lot & I'll never return to that location. Maybe there was nothing to be done. A gift card for the amount would have been nice. Someone saying they were sorry for my inconvenience would have been even better. Making me feel like I was somehow being difficult for not wanting moldy boxes was unacceptable customer service in my opinion.

This store unlike many other is Clean and well organized.Employees are polite and helpful.I love shopping here, it's like Xmas everyday with various new items always coming in.Today the employee was exceptional so helpful understanding and curtious

What can you say bad about Dollarama? I honestly don't understand how they can sell things at the prices they do. You can't get better bang for your buck anywhere else. If only they sold fresh produce

Terrible setup for COVID-19! Bottle of sanitizer not well placed, didn't see it until exiting the store. Carts not cleaned between customers. Employees stocking shelves NOT wearing any masks. Definitely not going back there anytime soon.

Clean store, friendly staff but overpriced cheap goods that breaks very soon.
