Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay Airlane Hotel

Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. You all were lovely!We're moving Winnipeg to Toronto with our cats, it was great to find a good place that was pet friendly.Rooms might be a bit on the dated side but everything was clean and organized. Comfy bed and had access to microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and tv.Seemed fairly booked up and busy but we had no issues with noise.Very happy with the experience and the ease of booking.

Staff was courteous. Lobby was beautiful. That was the ends of the positives. Our room was on second level with someone with mobility issues made this a problem. The hallways and room were in major disrepair. The door frames were broken and the doors barely latched. The room stunk. Apart from clean linens the rest of the room should be replaced. Extremely disappointed in the this reservation, and that the Wyndham name didn’t live up to its standards at all

No elevator, rooms are old, found hair on bedding, immediately checked out after getting to the room. Front desk was nice enough to offer the alternative room but was getting lots of TV noise from adjacent room. Front desk canceled the reservation without asking a question and apologized.

Room are very old and smelled weird, they never clean our rooms or brought us any towels/cafe or even empty the garbage during our 7 days stay (work)My door was falling off, mold in the shower, found rotten bananas in my drawer, i don't recommend this hotel AT ALL, i don't understand why it still open honestly. Very loud also with all the airplanes taking off and landing,And you can't control the heat of your room, need to sleep with windows open, with no screen.Need a deep cleaning and a solid renovationNot recommended at all

they did not have underground parking ,was a bit unsafe as we had luggage and so much stuff in car. The BIGGEST CONCERN WAS THEY DID NOT HAD WATER. I could not believe when they said they dont have water. they said we have 70 rooms so they are out of it. first of all, why did u book everything if you could not support the BASIC NEEDS OF HUMAN BEING. The receptionist Avi, who was tho polite, but said i can offer you complimentary bottle but when my friend asked, but where to get the water, she said you have to figure that out". i know some of you will say well just go out and get water. we were on road for around 8 hours. we did not accept no water after paying $150 dollars for a room. Seriously guys

The lobby is clearly the only place they have put money into. Our first room was on the lower level which was extremely sketchy. Our first room had an overwhelming and unbearable smell of rotting milk. The carpet was wet and smelled foul, the sheets were tattered and looked unwashed and poorly made. The locks were broke and windows did not open. It was an inhabitable space so we addressed it with the front desk and they offered to give us a different room, so we requested the second floor. Our next room was passable but the sheets did not smell fresh, the bathroom was not cleaned well, the outlets were extremely loose and couldn’t hold a charger, the carpet had stains and chunks, curtains were stained, no screen in the window, pillows felt low quality, and I did not sleep until about 4am due to the sound of someone touching our door multiple times throughout the night. I felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable - worst hotel experience I have ever had.

So I started reading reviews a couple of hours before getting there. I got SCARED lol Every other hotel was booked so I ended up going there. It’s very run down. It’s old and is clearly not taken care of. The outside is dirty, windows are gross , doors, doorknobs, walls curtains, hallways .. everything is dirty !! Once I got in my room the furniture was chipped, old and the tv was on. The couch was the worst part I didn’t dare sit on it without laying some towels down. The window seals were BLACK with dirt and broken. Bathroom tiles were moldy around bath and the door was all chipped at the bottom. BUt. I have to say the bed was nice, well made, clean. I slept like a baby . I didn’t find any public hair anywhere and my room smelled fine. No drunks in the hallways and it was quiet all night long except for the occasional plane (which I personally didn’t mind). My room was literally a suit !! It was huge like an appartement for the price (150$ + pet friendly) and the tub also had those jacuzzi water things. Front desk was nice , check in was easy, lobby was nice but no breakfast. Microwave and coffee maker in the room worked fine, tv as well. The room had 2 sets of towels and 2 toilet paper dispensers. I stayed only 1 night so I did not ask for a towel change so I would not know how this goes . Also as many mentioned no elevators and I was on the second floor so had to drag my cat carrier up with 2 fat cats in it. I cross Canada every year done Qc to AB and I have stayed in the Best Western just across the street once and the room I got there was double the price and seriously not much better, though cleaner (It might be because I asked for a pet friendly room though). I think this place is definitely a hit or miss and if you don’t want the hassle to be disappointed, go elsewhere for sure. Also why give your business to an owner who doesn’t care for his customers because he clearly doesn’t if he has them stay in this dirty hotel (which is more of a motel if anything ) all in all meh . It was still ok for me , for 1 night but I don’t think I’d take the chance of going again.

I’ll start off with the positives, the staff at the front desk were kind and the location was perfect. However, I checked into this hotel as a last resort because my previous arrangements fell through. I got to my room and immediately noticed a strange smell, a mix of something stale and mildew/mold. The carpet was dirty and my table tops hadn’t been wiped down and the outside door was iffy, I had to keep a chair in front of it (just incase). The plumbing in the bathroom was terrible, when you try to shower, the shower head and the faucet both ran at the same time and the tub would start to fill because it was a slow drain. The bathroom sink leaked when you ran the cold water and would soak the floor. I also had to remove the shower curtain liner because it absolutely stunk. I requested maintenance assistance but never heard back or saw them. Also, the entire 8 days that I was there, my room wasn’t cleaned. They came in once to change my towels and take my garbage. Oh! to top it off, my room was infested with ants because they were coming in from the doorway. There is no restaurant, no pool, no guest laundry room, and no elevator. Not a fun stay, but there’s a bed, toilet, and wifi…

The pictures are a lie, it was probably taken when it just opened up. Upon arriving and opening the door to one of the entrances it absolutely REEKED of weed. The rooms are very outdated, grimy looking, dust everywhere and what appear to be black skid mark on the bedroom walls. I wonder who runs this place, i truly hope someone go the extra mile to report this to the health unit. If you are happy with little and have no standards, then you might like it here. Eeuw

Just stayed here, will NEVER stay again and don’t recommend to anyone. First, we booked because it had a pool for our kids. Pool was out of service, couldn’t use. Second, everything except the entrance is run down, dingy, and has a smell to it. Third, didn’t feel safe or secure. Fourth, didn’t receive Wyndham points even after asking.
