Just discovered this trail by accident but it was amazing, especially this time of the year.Access to Grand river for Canoeing and Kayaking…Parking spots are available.

Nice hiking trail and entry to pop in some kayaks into the Grand River. Maybe about 15 parking spots in the lot and you can park up the road entrance a bit as well. Park of the Walter Bean Trail. The garbage was getting really full here and overflowing. Some graffiti on some of the rocks and signs. There is a small creek and small bridge. Multiple view points to see the Grand River. Peaceful by the water and the water is generally quite clean. Some ducks, geese, and seagulls.

Nice trail for hiking as well access to grand river. Enjoy kayaking and meet some awesome people greeting you across the river.

It was a nice place to relax and fish or just sit in the peace and quiet. There are some trails, I didn't get to many of them but I'll be back.

Best Trailway head in the area. Great for a quick relaxation stop, a lunch picnic, or to launch your kayak/canoe.

Great place to access the river. Takes about 3 hours to get to Bingamens and 6 hours to Bridgeport bridge. Lots of wild life and friendly people on the river. Awesome stretch to run the river.

I loved going to Kaufman's Flats when I was a child. It was a very popular spot for fishing, picnics and exploring. I biked out there a few times (University Ave didn't go through back then). I checked Google Maps and it had no listing for it, but I took a ride out anyway. Like most things, it sure has changed. My hike for Saturday, May 13, 2023.
