Great experience with Modena. Not only is the look and quality of their products is the best I've seen, but their service is exceptional. Had an issue with one of my cabinets years after it was originally installed, and Olivier, the president of Modena, passed by to fix the issue himself as his staff was very busy and he didn't want me to wait. Without a doubt the best kitchen remodeler available in Quebec.

BUYER BEWARE!Modena is by far the most disorganized, unresponsive and disrespectful company I have ever encountered.In March 2022, we approached Modena to enquire about a kitchen renovation project and a custom closet. They moved quick at first; took measurements and promptly provided a plan for both projects, promising a max 14-week delivery. Once we agreed on the specifics and price, we signed the contract and paid for half the amount and were told the balance was due on delivery …Once Modena cashed the cheque, they went radio silent. Although we were promised that the project would not take longer than 14 weeks, we knew COVID had changed the realities of many industries and expected that things could take a little longer.What was absolutely unacceptable was how unresponsive Modena became and would avoid and never return calls/emails... we were told numerous times that the kitchen was shipped and would arrive shortly... this same excuse dragged on .... never did THEY care to give an update. At the end of September 2022 ( +/- 24 weeks after placing order), panic set in and thought Modena may have gone bankrupt since they failed to answer us repeatedly. In desperation, I had to go to their office in person to get a response from Diane (sales associate) who tried to reassure me that our order was on the “next” boat from Italy. Weeks go by, no news once again. This time, my partner presented himself in person to get an update. Diane was elusive and pretended not to be at the office that day. After tracking down Oliver the President (son of Diane) by telephone, we finally started to get more frequent updates . The boat had arrived to Montreal at the end of October 2022 (28 weeks after placing order) and needed to be cleared by customs. A week later, we call back to get an update and are told that the kitchen was not in the container and would be on the next in early November…The container arrived, this time containing only the kitchen. The wardrobe was apparently sent to Miami accidentally.When scheduling the delivery of the kitchen cabinet, Diane reminds us that the balance of payment would be due the day of delivery (not installed). This was the first call Diane made to us since early summer, and it was simply to ask for money! My mouth dropped when she asked this and pretended like Modena had upheld their end of the agreement.Instead of rectifying their unprofessionalism and disrespectful customer service and trying to make it right by their customers, Diane showed herself to be money-hungry and expected us to blindly give her money before delivering an installed product. No person in their right mind would trust handing over the rest of the money to a supplier who has only shown to be elusive, untrustworthy and unreliable. Eventually, we agreed to withhold a % of payment until end of installation. Naturally, we calculated the percentage based on the total cost of the project.When the boxes were finally delivered to our home, Diane came to collect the cheque. Having thought we calculated the percentage only on the amount owed (and not the amount of the project), Dianne was unhappy with the cheque. She proceeded to returned into our home (as installation was to begin) and stole boxes as vengeance and collateral. To make sure we would never have a complete kitchen, she stole what was essentially our property. After negotiation with Oliver, we finally made arrangements to get our stolen boxes back and got an installer to our house to complete the project. By end of November, we finally had a kitchen … 32-weeks later !!!Thankfully the end product is very nice and of good quality.How we got to this point though has been such an exhausting and stress-inducing struggle. The company should review its work ethic and customer relations ….it’s tough out there for all industries but simply answering phones calls and giving periodic updates would have created such a different experience. It’s a shame because the product is great.Stay far far away!

Nous avons acheté un nouveau condo dans un immeuble de plus de 100 unités toutes avec des cuisines de cuisine Modena/scavolini. Nous avons voulu faire une modification et donc fait affaires directement avec eux car cela ne regardait pas le promoteur. Nous avons demandé de refaire la porte du garde manger car nous ne voulions plus d'espace prévu pour le micro-onde. Nous avons payé à l'avance au mois d'août 2017 pour l'item et nous avons été informés qu'il y aurait un délai dans la livraison car fabriqués en Italie (approx 2 mois). Fin octobre, j'ai commencé à faire des suivis car plusieurs copropriétaires m'ont informé que c'était très difficile d'avoir un retour d'appel des gens. Bref, les suivus tourneront mais très rapidement car personne sur la défensive et me lance sa frustration en me disant que le promoteur de notr nouveau condo doit Une grosse somme d$ et me rapporte le montant qui m'avait d'ailleurs été rapporté par d'autres co-propriétaires eux aussi en attente et à qui elle divulgue la même information...on repassera pour la confidentialité et le professionnalisme. Je lui rappele que nous avons payé à l'avance. Cette personne ne me rappèlera plus. Je ferai de nombreux suivis sans aucun retour d'appels. À un moment j'exige de parler à quelqu'un, on me transfère à une cuisiniste qui prendra le relai pour les 2-3 appels suivants. Comme mon promoteur aussi nous devait également un item manquant (grand panier) il informe Modena de joindre l'item à notre commande initiale (la porte) et Modena en profites pour nous refiler une facture non detaillee incluant 500$ pour livraison et installation pour un item qui coûte 350$. Finalement, on m'informe que la porte est arrivée abîmée mais que des retouches seront faites sur place dans leur atelier de Lachine et donc on repousse encore la livraison remise à la semaine suivante soit le 1 décembre 2017, presque 6 mois plus tard. Ils ne sont jamais venus, J'ai fait un autre suivi, ils m'ont simplement dit qu'ils annulaient ma commande et me rembourseront.

Hands down best kitchen, closet and bathroom cabinetry I've ever seen or used. Sales people are incredibly knowledgable and always available. Best purchasing experience I've ever had with regards to home improvement by a mile...

Fantastic place

This is a terrible place to do business with. I have a kitchen done by them and now I dread the fact that I may have to deal with them in the future, until my kitchen will have to be redone. Let's hope that I never get to talk to them again. Unprofessional staff and dubious business practices. They never deliver what they promise and when they promise and they would lie about everything. Once half-way through the work, so you can't go back anymore, they will charge hundreds of $$$ of made up fees and charges because they know that now you are stuck and need to have your house completed. Very dishonest business. NEVER will do business with them again.
