Five Guys
Classic Five Guys. Took my girlfriend here for her first time ever trying their burgers, and she agreed they lived up to the hype I had built for them. Spacious location, seemed well maintained and clean from my visit there. Amazing milkshakes and fries, the Cajun fries are delicious.If you’re looking for a high quality burger and willing to pay a little extra for it, Five Guys is one of the most consistent places you can go. Great job to the workers and management of this location.

I liked the space because it’s renovated and spacious. First visit here in Halifax after eating at Five Guys in Toronto and Five Guys in NYC. Well, I ordered a hot dog with a bunch of toppings on it. Some hours later I felt very sick of my stomach. Thank God I was already home. I will never order a hot dog there again and I have no idea if the cause of my sickness were one of the toppings.

I ordered a meal on their app and they made the conscious choice to not send the bottle of pop with the order.When I called them about it they said I had to call the app people. The app people said I had to call the restaurant.The restaurant said they had to call corporate on the second call, then proceeded to do nothing.3 weeks later and they have yet to refund me for the undelivered drink. It’s not about the $3.45 for a 500 ml soda, it’s that they have chosen to steal from a regular customer and not care even a little bit about it.A frustrating run around and a terrible buying experience. Time to spend my money elsewhere.Darrel’s, Charger Burger, and a number of other places make great burgers without the criminal intent. This poor decision making was definitely not worth it for them.Whether they are intentional thieves or just plain indifferent, it definitely isn’t worth risking your money or time with them.

Wow! Definitely worth checking out! The burger was cooked perfectly. Buyer beware their burgers consist of 2(!) patties. Fries were unbelievable. Some of best I have ever had. Had the small portion and it was plenty big enough. The free peanuts were a nice touch too. Next time will try the milkshakes!

I've never tried five guys in the U.S.A but my first time trying it here was absolutely amazing. The burger was fresh and delicious, made to order, and the fries are unlike anything you've ever had as they use peanut oil. Highly recommend

This is a decent spot. It isn't my favourite, but it certainly does the job. I like their fries personally. However, I find their burgers to be a bit 'soggy' for my taste (sogginess will be magnified if ordering delivery/take out). The result of that is that I find myself adding less and less condiments to my burger, so keep that in mind.Biggest bonus for me is simplicity of the menu while still customizable. Definitely worth a try, and it may end up being your next go to spot! :)

First visit. Decided to get the coworkers together and try this joint. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Apparently there are a ton of toppings and such. Have a good read of the sign above when ordering.They my order to go instead of dine in but oh well I guess. The foil wrapped burger looked like it had seen better days but don’t let that fool you. It’s not frozen and turned out to be two Patties. For a standard fare burger this tasted great (Not frozen) and local fries were over salted. They were good though.Be aware the regular fry portion is huge. You may not want to order something larger. I was warned about this.The price point was on the high side considering it was not gourmet but I enjoyed it none the less.The atmosphere seemed to transport me back to the old burger joint days.I was not impressed with the toilets stalls. The only way out was to hug yourself between the side of the toilet and the wall. Kinda silly cause you can’t open the door due to the fact the door is so tight to the front of the toilet.

The consistency is questionable at best and when paying over $8 for a single burger, you'd expect perfection. Went last night with a friend and when we received our order, my burger was missing both beef patties and he only had one. When we informed the staff, they were kind enough to remake our order except we had to wait another 10 minutes to receive them. When they arrived, half of the beef patties were charred and the other half were pink in the middle. Can't say I'd recommend them when there prices are the same as Darrell's, the latter providing a much better dining experience.

Great food here if you're not worried about calorie counts. The bacon cheeseburger was excellent, and the fries were delicious (very well salted) - portion sizes are very large. It's expensive but really does have a higher quality feel to it, and you leave satisfied.
