During our first session with John, we could see our puppy’s behavioral improvements right away. John of Pure Pawtential has provided training and boarding services for our Havanese puppy of 18 months. We are thrilled with the results. John is absolutely amazing with my golden retriever. Its obvious jon cares deeply for our dog and that our dog loves the time spent with him. He can hardly move when john is done with him.He books an hour, but ive found its often a bit longer than that. Great value for the dollar.John provides daily updates with pictures, often setting up scenic pictures with my dog, which i just love.I seriously dread the day i have to find another person to care for my dog. It just wouldnt be the same.

John is an exceptional trainer. He is intuitive and patient. John helped us understand our 11yr rescue, Sunny, and the uniqueness of having a senior dog that needed some extra support settling in. His calm demeanour spoke to our new family member. Sunny responded quite well to his training, and we truly believe that John’s professionalism was a significant part of the process.

I highly recommend Pure Pawtential! John goes way beyond my expectations of a dog walker. He is patient, trustworthy, caring, and so intuitive with my dog. Even though my rescue dog Charlie was initially super timid (especially with males), John completely understood his needs and helped him come out of his shell. John gave me great insight from day one, and he is consistently prompt in responding to my messages. After each walk, he sends a progress report and the most adorable photos. I know my dog is being well cared for, safe, and challenged in the most gentle way. I also don’t worry about my dog “losing” any of the training I worked so hard to achieve. Best decision ever!

John is a natural when it comes to working with people and pets! He's friendly, patient, explains things easily for everyone to understand. We are a family of 7, with 4 young children and an elderly grandparent so it was crucial for us to make sure our puppy started off on the right track with proper puppy training. Even more importantly, John set out very real expectations for our family as Chewy was our 1st family pet. John helped us to understand our puppies needs and educated us on how best to interact with him in a positive but direct way to ensure he was set up for success and we knew exactly what we should expect, bumps and all. We learned that puppy training is a process, requires patience and routine but John was excellent in guiding us through the process and made it an enjoyable experience for the entire family. We asked John to help us with our 10 week old English Cocker Spaniel puppy Henry and would highly recommend his training methods.By the end of week 1 Henry could recognize his name and to come when called. By week 6 he could sit, stay, lie down, leave it, walk to heel indoors and stop when asked. He also learned fun tricks like paw, roll over and spin.John came to our home for 1 hour lessons and showed his care for our pup, extending sessions to answer all of our questions. Henry loved his lessons and was always exhausted at the end of the hour.We are looking forward to continuing to work with John as Henry grows and we humans need more training too!
