I purchased a condo back in 2018 where I used Shaikh Law and had a great experience . So when I purchased my house a few months ago, I decided to use them again. However, this time the experience was a nightmare. We sent in our documents more than a month prior to our closing date. No one reached out to us until I sent a follow up email about the title search being due in a month where we were told Felicity would be overseeing our file. We were told that the title search was complete but this time a copy of it was never provided to us.- When trying to contact us, Felicity would only reach out to me and not my sister who was a co-purchaser which delayed our ability to make decisions or respond because I had to keep forwarding emails to my sister- Felicity gave us instructions on how to upload our IDs and signatures during our virtual meeting but it was incorrect so she had to get another person to assist, she made it seem like it was our fault for it being done incorrectly when we were the ones following her instructions.- Felicity was using an incorrect address from when I did my purchase with them in 2018 which I mentioned to her but she continued to use the same incorrect address throughout our paperwork (our updated final ledger has the wrong address still).- Felicity said she would let us know whether or not she got the information for the title insurer prior to our bank appointment but she never did so we had to reschedule the bank appointment. She actually blamed us on why she couldn’t get the info because we agreed to meeting with her so late although she was the one that gave us options to meet the day of or day after- Felicity scheduled meetings very last minute where we had to accommodate and be flexible given the tight deadline- Our bank documents were confirmed to have been sent to Felicity almost 2 weeks prior to our closing date but Felicity only mentioned almost a week before closing that she could not open the files although our bank confirmed there is a hotline for lawyers to deal with these type of issues that she could call- When asking for clarification on the numbers in the Trust Ledger, Felicity could not explain them to us on how she came up with the final number as it was not balancing (I had to figure it out myself)- After speaking to Ali Shaikh about our concerns on some issues we had with our experience prior to closing, he mentioned he would assist and explained why the cost went up higher (up 70% for the legal fees from 2018), Ali also mentioned there was a $45 discount for repeat clients but Felicity said we never mentioned it to her (although I did when pointing out my address was wrong when signing our documents)- A third and final request for more information from the title insurer was sent to Shaikh Law before it was brought to our attention and this was after we closed on our house- 3 weeks after we closed, I had to send out 2 emails and phone call to get the money back for the extra funds we sent to ensure we covered all the costs for closing. Felicity indicated that she would MAIL out the revised and final trust ledger. When we asked for it to be emailed, she refused. When reviewing the numbers I noticed that some numbers that should not have changed, were and therefore the amount expected to be returned was different than expectedTo summarize, there was a lack of knowledge of the process from Shaikh Law this time now that it has been moved to utilize technology vs paper and the constant follow up on our end due to the lack of or last minute responses coming from Shaikh Law made it a very stressful closing process. I will never ever use Shaikh Law and I will never recommend them to any friends or family again.

My experience was a mix but I think I will still give them credit for the work they had put in. I used Shaikh law for my separation agreement and I was extremely happy with their service. Thereafter, I decided to use them for title transfer which did not go as smooth as expected due to various reasons. However, in the end Mr. Shaikh got involved and fixed all the issues.
