Best beer batter fish I have had any where in the province yet....and I have tried them all over. The fish is so fresh and thick. Wonderful generous portion! That I also appreciate. The burgers are hand made and mountainous. My wife loves the seafood pasta and meatloaf. The wings are GREAT. It has become our place to go.

We are from PEI & was visiting Middleton, NS during Hurricane Dorian. We stopped to grab supper here right after the storm went through and the Capitol was only 1 of 3 restaurants that was open for miles around as no one else had power. Our wait time was good,food excellent and our waitress made the whole experience amazing. We will be back with our next visit. Keep doing what your doing cause it works and is good!

I love history and this place is full of that. The place is clean and roomy the Waiter we had was bilingual and the food was delicious

We were looking for a play to have dinner by 9pm and found this open. It was just 2 talked occupied. We got really good food and enjoyed find over there. It was not a kind of place where we don't have 'this' item 'that one in the menu'. So the items were available.

The pub food and music were fun but the highlight of our evening was watching the purple and blue haired server whom we secretly named Pippi Longstocking.

This place is so nice. The people are so friendly. Great place for a family dinner. The batter was a little over cooked and/or the oil needed changing but it still tastes good. I would recommend going for dinner in or outside on the patio but avoid the patio in the winter lol. If you found this helpful please click Like. Cheers!!

The Capital Pub is in a nice central location in the centre of town, so it is popular with locals. It is located in an old movie theatre and has a movie theatre theme throughout with posters, and paintings of movie stars. Part of the pub retains the original theatre stage (I believe) and is used for local entertainment. Service was good with friendly wait staff and good quick service. The food was good, but nothing special. I had a spicy crispy chicken burger, but it was simply an ordinary chicken burger with Frank's Red Hot put on it. My wife had the seafood chowder and although it was called Creamy"

We just stopped in for a light nibble and a beer on our trek down the Annapolis Valleys highway 1. I didn’t take a picture because I really did not expect it to be “quite possibly the best SEAFOOD CHOWDER I have ever been served”. You really need to come in and give it a try. The service was also delightful.

Food is usually pretty good and the live music is fun. We don't eat out often but this is on the list of potentials when we do.
