Until I met John, it felt like the world was against me. I encounted a list of people either charging too much or telling me what I could not do. Slagter was different. They showed me what I could do and the smartest way to do it. So I chose them and am happy I did. Job cost $75% what the others quoted and permitting went smoothly. Highly recommended.

Two years ago Jon's crew installed a new eco flow septic system on our property. His crew was very friendly and did a great job. Our septic works as it should.I was told that after the soil around the new tank settles they will return to top up the soil around it. Less than a year later the new tank began sag badly in the middle. They returned to install supports inside the tank to prevent further sagging. They had to excavate quite a bit of soil to do this. They again said they will return to top up the soil and install risers on the lids because they are now considerably lower than grade.I called multiple times last fall to have this done with no calls returned. Then this spring while walking I fell into a large sink hole nearly to my waist above our old septic tank. They originally filled the old tank with gravel and soil but did not put any lid back on. If this had been my four year old daughter instead of me I would hate think of what would have happened. I called again asking for the promised top up and risers plus an explanation on why a lid was not put back in place.Jon refused to take any responsibility and regarding some kind of lid he said we don't do that. It's not up to me to baby sit your property." I understand settling soil is normal but I can't accept a sink hole of this size is normal. I at least should have been told this is a possibility. Jon then told me that they had already returned to top up the soil and install risers which is not true. But Jon claims "that's what's written down". Either Jon is lying to me or someone is lying to him.When I continued to push him on this he became increasingly rude and asked me am I "so incompetent that I can't put a little dirt on the ground" Rather than shout back and forth I decided to end the conversation. At this point I would not want Slagter back on my property anyway.If you choose to hire this company I hope you receive better treatment than I did if you confront them about a concern you have. As with any contractors I advise taking notes of what is promised and when."

Called in with some questions about ecoflow systems even though I'm not in their area. They were SUPER helpful and took the time to explain everything to me, even though there was no chance of them getting my business. Much appreciated!

Friendly. Intelligent. Courteous. They are really busy and I can see why. So it was difficult to find a time to do our septic work. But, when they came they were efficient, fast, thorough and we had shifted to an aerobic system. The alternatives would be horrifically expensive. I had several firms who quoted on our property just shrug off the aerobic system. All I can tell you is that when the smoke cleared and about 21 months later, the problem has been solved. Our septic field, which happens to be our back yard, is behaving the way it is supposed to behave. I figured that if I was thinking positively about them, I should express it in a way that is helpful to them and to others who are seeking a solution to their septic issues.
