Very interesting film on trash.

This not for profit art organization has had it's share of financial struggles in the past, but with a new Director at the helm, it should continue to be an influencial part of the art community.

Toxic institution, some of the absolutely worst infighting and hypocritical virtue signalling I have ever seen in the contemporary art world, or anywhere. People yelling at each other, nepotism, staff incompetent at their basic tasks (example, hanging vinyl signage) and straight up verbal and emotional abuse on the board of directors with some strong personalities bullying the others. Artcite has a long history of toxicity, and despite a recent shakeup, unfortunately that reputation continues and grows. Stay away.

Great local artist run centre. Lots of community engagement and great contemporary art programming.

I’m the artist who programmed the show Vestiges&Remains for the 40th anniversary of Artcite Inc. I had a really positive experience working with the whole staff, Kristina, Grace, Maria and the new director Teajai. They are all professional and friendly, have great input and knowledge, and are creating positive change to the institution and community with their work and facilitation. I highly recommend checking out the shows and popping in for the community connector events. Hopefully Artcite will continue to respond to community and artists positively in the future.
