Luc's European Meats

I've been enjoying Luc's European Meats and cheeses for a number of years now, their products are amazing and the people even nicer. Bruce, Sonia, Lucas and Andreas have been wonderful to get to know and work with as well. I have been painting their booth signage for all their locations and to see them grow has been amazing. I have learned so much about Charcuterie, the variety of Meats, styles of cheeses and accompanying treats - I am always so excited to enjoy something new (and my classic favs) as well as to serve others the lovely treats. They choose to support Albertan and Canadian suppliers / makers as often as possible. See them for suggestions, a very happy and personal service makes the difference between them and the big box places.My Go to's:- hot turkey pep (low fat good protein)- fennel sausage (mild with good balance of fat and easy to eat)- beef salami (good non pork and lean)- Comte (French hard cheese)- Le marchal- Noir blue (blue cheese creamy)- Morbier (blue vein look)- dancing goats farm cheeses- jellies from tangled gardens (everything from them have been amazing)- take and bake Mac and cheese- cows premium butters-

Lucs Meats supplied Charcuterie for 50 people at a fundraising event for the Canadian Sport Horse Association. It was agreed it was the best Charcuterie anyone had ever had. A tiny, carved-out corner of passion and enthusiasm that punches way above its weight.I've been several times, and been taken on a journey each time. Sometimes similar, sometimes different (depending on the cheesemonger), there's always a dedication to quality, and a desire for evangelizing fine craftsmanship. Seriously. Just walk up, tell them your experience with cheese, and let them guide you. You won't regret it.I'll be back - probably too often.Edit: spelling.

I am not really a cheese eater. I think it was because I really wasn't exposed to cheeses other than cheddar, gouda, swiss or blue. But there is a whole world of cheeses out there that are absolutely amazing.I went to Luc's European Meats with my cousin on Saturday at the Calgary Farmers' Market a couple of months back. I told the handsome guy behind the counter that I did not know anything about cheeses so I would like him to select something for me to try. I don't recall what the cheeses were but they delicious. I went back the next week and I asked another handsome guy the same thing. Once again I got some amazing tasting cheeses. So now, regardless of which handsome guy helps me, I just tell them to give me a couple of cheeses. I have never been disappointed.Now I must make special mention of a condiment they sell as well. It goes nicely with cheese, with meats or right from the jar onto a cracker or your mouth! It is a coffee bacon jam. How could that be bad? Everything in there is awesome. Coffee, check! Bacon, double check!! Jam! Yes, please!! AND it is made by one of the handsome guys!! It is his recipe!! I recently brought it to a baby shower and it was a major hit!! So was the French cheese with the edible flowers. Not only was it very pretty and unusual it is sooooo good!! I have bought several over the past month or so.Give Luc's European Meats (& Cheeses) a try AND the Coffee Bacon Jam! You won't be disappointed!

Had a charcuterie plate made for a Halloween party and…perfection! So much variety, delicious choices, it was a total hit! Will be ordering again for Christmas

The staff were freindly knowledgeable and new much about cheese and meat I was looking too purchase. Also the provolone here is top notch love the provolone. Honey garlic pepperoni were great as well!

Have been shopping here for years and it’s always a hit with everyone in our house! We highly recommend the honey garlic pepperoni sticks and if you want some delicious Mac and cheese they have that as well! Always friendly and excellent customer service and they will help you find exactly what you’re looking for!

Luc's is my go-to at the Farmer's market. Their staff are willing to make excellenet suggestions, are patient and efficient. I have found so many new things I love from their recommendations. If you like Montreal smoked meat sandwiches...go visit them for the supplies!
