Turkish Consulate General in Toronto

Very unprofessional staff. The staff are helping their relatives and friends before people who has appointment. Those people who know someone from inside finish their business way before those who have appointment but do not know anyone from the consulate. This would not be very obvious if those people who finish their business unfairly would not brag how they unfairly took others line when they are in the elevator going out. If you know the person for the job, you do not need an appointment. Just call your guy and get your business done while other people are waiting in the line for hours even their appointment timebhas passed. This consulate seriously needs to review their work etiquette.

It was a good experience. Lets share it with you. Turkish counslate is that Building in attached picture, head toward entrance and pass two doors which are open if in some case doors are closed then there is intercom you can call counslate security to open door for you and then head to elevators press 3 and you will be in counslate lobby, wait here in chair with other people they will be calling you by name when your oppointment time is near, they call you for security checkup of your belongings then you will be asked to go toward passport and visa counter and wait for your name to be called and when its your turn at the counter you will be asked to submit all required documents, they review it if its all good they will ask some normal questions and hand over a form to fill name and sign it then you will submit visa fee in cash and thats all, dont forget taking back your phone from security. Good luck.

Waited for over an hour for my passport renewal appointment, only to return empty handed due to a mysterious “system error”. That’s what you get when you contract your IT systems to the lowest bidder.Plus: The staff lies about your options when things go wrong, just to send you away. I was told I could get a new appointment for tomorrow — I knew that was not possible but the officer insisted. It didn’t take too long to get my hunch confirmed; I checked their website and the closest date is 10 days from now. So unnecessarily dishonest.

It was a good experience, Paid parking lot is within walking distance. I went for my elderly mother. Although I hadn't made an appointment before, it didn't take us 5 minutes to enter and get our work done. Thanks.

Carry all the documents listed below in my comment below as i can find that this full document list information was missing in website while taking appointment.I was seriously worried by seeing all the negative reviews but after visiting the Turkish consulate with all the documents, I can say I had great experience. Be in time (or even 15 mins before) and the process got over in 5mins ! Officers were really nice and professional.List of documents needed.1. Visa Application Form2. Two printed Photos3. Three months Bank Statement attesting to the income status of the applicant.4. Flight reservation5. Hotel Reservation or Invitation letter from Turkey6. Proof of a valid medical insurance for the duration of stay7. Photocopy of documents on the applicant’s legal status in Canada such as Permanent Resident Card, Court Decision for Convention Refugees, Work Visa, Study Visa8. A self-addressed pre-paid return envelope from Canada Post to return your passport once your application is finalized9. Application Fee is accepted EXACT CASH ONLY10. Employment letterHow to reach - Just take street car No.510/509 from Union Station. It will drop you right in front of Consulate office entrance. Get into the building and take lift to 3rd floor. I had a good experience every time I visited our Consulate in Toronto whether it was for voting or personal applications. This is a VERY BUSY government office, have all your paperwork ready, be polite and all your work will be done fast and with care. Your experience here will depend on your ability to arrive ready with the paperwork and your attitude.

We were at the consulate on Monday June 12th 2023 at 2.30pm. The lady serving us was really polite and helpful. I wouldn’t take the negative reviews too seriously. We had a very positive experience. Wanted to give a special mention to that lady who served us. Thank you! Kudos.
