Fils has a very relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff and a wide, varied menu. It's not fine dining and doesn't pretend to be. You get your basics, without waiting and at great prices. I had pancakes which were fantastic; huge, tasty, and filling.

March 2023This was a fun place to eat. An old nostalgic diner vibe with cheap prices. Our soup and sandwich special was around $10.00.Our waitress served us, but she was not friendly or wanting to talk to us and make us feel welcome.

I recently had breakfast at Fils Diner and it was a classic breakfast experience. The food was delicious and exactly what I was expecting. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a no-fuss breakfast.

Fil’s is a neighbourhood institution. Nestled in between the bowling alley and O’Connell’s Irish Pub, this retro feeling restaurant serves a no frills breakfast.I appreciate the breakfast bar, an opportunity to relax, read the news and enjoy a simple and straightforward breakfast.The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere welcoming. A great spot!

My wife and I discovered Fil's diner about 6 months ago and we have been going back steadily since then. This place is great. Fantastic decor and the food is very well priced and excellent. The service is absolutely fantastic everytime. Keep up the good work. This is our one and only breakfast spot in Ottawa now.

The platonic diner experience. I haven't been to a place in ages that felt so much like an authentic diner. Perfect music, very good and simple food, wonderfully classy art up on the wall. If I'd ordered a milkshake it would have completed the experience. Strong recommendation, if just to soak in the vibe and feel like a part of history.

Went here with my partner to celebrate their birthday. We both had the double double breakfast, and it was delicious! Our eggs were perfectly cooked, service was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Cool place. Good traditional breakfast options (missing a few options for big eaters like me, but good service; the waitress found a way to make me happy). I will go back for sure!
