Waves Coffee House
This Waves Coffee has great staff. When I went to the shop on Uptown Live Saturday afternoon, only one young lady was working. There were super busy with long line up. The young lady worked hard with a big smile all the time.When she took my order, she still asked me do you want a plate for your scone and want to toast it?What a surprise she would offer me so much that I don't think this would be offer in much busy time.Thank you for her hard working and still want to keep her good job for all customers.It's great to see some young people enjoying and put good effort to their job.There were also one young man work hard at the other side of the counter.The setting of the shop is comfortable with big window good for people watching and a small patio.A great shop with great staff is win win for all.

Machine messed up reading my debit card. Cashier/Barista unplugged card reader so I walked around and came back to wait for it to “restart”. Was then asked if I’m sure my card works. Servers then laughed as my card had an error again before going through. Oddly prejudiced/racist atmosphere would not recommend unless you want to check that it’s real lol. Also they don’t take Amex here if that matters.

Really love their spinach feta pastry which I always get from this location! Today I got a Waves sized Belgian iced mocha with dark chocolate. I asked for whipped cream and I think it’s mixed into my drink; I was expecting it to be topped. Drink too longer than expected as it was busy during weekday breakfast time

While there is much to recommend this place, I probably wouldn't.Don't get me wrong, the staff are nice, the seating and atmosphere surprisingly pleasant, and they make a good cup of drip coffee.Unfortunately, as nice as the staff are, they are also slow. Obviously not lazy (they were all working), but also obviously in no hurry.Sadly, as nice as the room is, it's also just a little cooler than even I find comfortable and echos in an intrusive manner.Lastly, (and the only thing I can't forgive) their skill at making an espresso based drink is abysmal.I watched the barista over-steam 3 drinks in a row, the drink sizes are massive and watered down even for drinks such as the cappuccino which is classically quite small. Additionally, half the orders I saw were mistakenly made in 'for here' cups then dumped unceremoniously into to-go containers.In the way of personal experience, the few drinks I tried (Americano, cappuccino, and espresso) were all a little sad.Is a place I -wish- was better especially given the location.

Nice coffee house at 6th & 6th in New Westminster.Quiet and clean. Good service. Pleasant people working here.Snacks and sandwiches looked good.I tried a lemon aquare with dark roast coffee and it was good.

Cheesecake was really delicious and so dense. I love the texture and the whole strawberry on the top went really well with the flavor of cheesecake. It is pretty similar with the one in costco but if you are looking for a small one, this is great

Nice and bright Waves location in New West. It’s spacious and has both indoor and patio dining areas. The iced drinks we got were yummy and the service from the guy at the till was great. The drink took a little long but I think there was a trainee and it was a hot day so they may have been backed up with orders.This is a convenient location when you’re strolling along downtown New West. With a corner spot like theirs, you can enjoy people watching from your seat! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in New West.
