Travelodge by Wyndham Red Deer

Was kind of skeptical at first as there was not really anyone staying. Looked up the reviews and was kind of scared. But, these reviews couldn't be more wrong. The staff was very friendly and happy to help anything. Sure it is an older building, but the rooms were up to date with the times. Did quite a bit of looking and couldn't really find anything wrong with the room. There were a few dead bugs behind the bed, but nothing on the bed. Beds were very clean! The cleanliness shouldn't really bother you unless you are a clean freak. The pool was nice and fun to swim in. The people leaving reviews complaining about the place sure haven't been around because I have stayed in a lot worse rooms than this! Not the best for a birthday party or New Years Eve, but the perfect place for someone going through town.

Very Pet Friendly! Would Stay AgainI stayed here as a couple from out of town for an appointment and always find the beds comfortable! Clean, spacious suites with everything you need in the room for a nice stay.The pool is warm and always clean and well kept.The place is clean, staff is friendly and respectful.The hotel was quiet, good wifi, newly renovated with spank brand new beds. We would stay here again for the price!

Absolutely horrible stay, don’t stay here! We checked in at 10pm with the room freezing cold, turned the heat on max. The heater barely worked. My 2 young kids had to sleep in sweaters bundled up. Made a complaint to front desk and nothing was resolved. Could not even have a shower in the morning because it was so cold and the tile in the bathroom was freezing. We layed towels down on the bathroom just so we could bare standing in the bathroom.Continental breakfast was horrible, it consisted of hard boiled eggs, cereal and muffins. The muffins were rock hard and not edible. We ended up going out for breakfast after all. I called the hotel to speak to a manager because the front staff wasn’t able to help with any of the issues, after attempting to contact the manager several times I never ended up getting a call back and ended up paying a ridiculous price of $125 for a cold room and a continental breakfast that wasn’t edible.. absolutely unexceptionable for a hotel and their rates. Save your self the money and don’t book with the Travelodge in Red deer.

In fact, I liked to get out of the typical hotels, the place is quiet and close to everything. It was our night and I hope I could have stayed for a week because I felt a relief that you rarely find after all the hard work.

Great Hotel, Clean and Comfy. Best value for what I paid.I was reluctant to stay at a Travelodge as I am from the USA and I took a chance, but I am glad I stayed at this hotel because I have nothing but good experience at this Travelodge. Very big bed, hot water. Room was good size and clean with all great supplies. Not a Wyndham Hotel fan but I am one now :). Pool was very warm with friendly staff.

Best value for the moneyWe selected this hotel because of the indoor pool and was in the Wyndham chain.All aspects of this hotel are excellent. Friendly receptionists. All hotel staff encountered were very professional and courteous in their demeanour at all times. A pleasure to stay there.The continental breakfast was humble but satisfactory considering it was Days Inn. The hours of operation for both the breakfast and the pool access were very accommodating.Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. Will choose this hotel anytime. Price reasonable.

I knew from at first looks it was skeptical, we entered the room and there was cigarette burns on the bedsheets. I looked in the washroom there was some yellow substance. My dad and uncle were outside drinking and they saw a guy with a nice car so they yelled nice car." About 5 minutes later the guy came up with weapons and his friend came with dogs and started swearing at us and then they hit my dad and he wasn't hurt but they hit my uncle in the face and his eye was swollen and bruised we called the police and told the front desk and they had absolutely no emotion. We wanted to leave but it was late at night and we asked for a refund and they said no

Not a great experience!! Booked a room for my mother, she had switched rooms 3 times due to the air conditioning not working in any of the rooms (which made the rooms unbearably hot!) Found out that I was charged the price for a room even tho she didn’t stay the night, called the hotel to see about getting at least half of it back since she didn’t actually stay the night due to their own air conditioning units. Was told I’d get a call from the manager and never received a call back. Would give ZERO stars if I could.

Someone who had previously stayed in the room I was given had been pepper spray in the bathroom. The minute I started cleaning the bathroom to have a shower because it the room was very poorly cared for had been pepper sprayed in the bathroom and the water reactivated was wasn't cleaned up which according to the paramedics. Then the stuff continuously changed there policies and procedure the one staff member told me they round up to the nearest 0. So if my bill was 38.64 I was charged 40.? Like what business runs this wayNow i see way the parking was empty and remains empty. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone unless you like dishonest, dirt and burning skin and eyes.

Cheap nice room could be a cleaner the corners and walls but all around good value.
