Once you find a great mechanic you don't let go. Mike's work is always impeccable. I've been visiting him in the past 3 years to take care of my old 2002 Honda CRV. Every time I go he pinpoints the problem right away. I strongly recommend using his services to anyone.

After having my Son's 1979 ford Ltd at one of the big name repair shop twice for carburetor problems. We got the car back after a week and the car was running really bad. Stalling every time you brake or going from park to drive and stall again. It was obvious this garage did not have a mechanic that could tune a carburetor. We took the car to Mikes and after a few hours he called to say it was fixed. Mike found numerous problems with the work the other garage had done. Long story short the car runs beautifully. Very pleased to have found Mike for our mechanical needs.

Just had Mike replace the suspension on my car. Very impressed with how much he discussed with me before and after the job was done. He clearly cares about his work as well as the satisfaction of his customers. He is definitely doing all my mechanical work from now on.

Being new in the Comox Valley and owing an aging Infiniti G35 with several deferred maintenance issues that I should have fixed several years ago, l suffered from severe “new mechanic” syndrome. A complete stranger with an even older Infiniti recommended Mike. I interviewed Mike and decided to give him a try. He rebuilt my dangerous brakes, replaced the spark plugs, and fixed an oil leak. His shop rate is reasonable, he has competitive parts prices, and most importantly, Mike is a genuine car guy. My G35 is now a fun car to drive once again. His location is bit out of the way for me, but his professional operation will bring me me back to his shop. I Highly Recommend!

With what looks like a full shop, lift, welding, and reasonable rates ($90/hr when I was there) AND most importantly knows how to troubleshoot, Mike is such a find (was biking down Powerhouse and saw his sign). I debated whether posting this or not because I don't want him to get busy that I'd have to wait - but he's so good and quick and economical, I don't think I have to worry ;-)Mike has now resolved major issues with both of our vehicles - 2002 Honda and a 1981 GMC Getaway Van. I highly recommend - bring it in, tell him what you know, and then stand back and let him troubleshoot. He's awesome!
