They have two hiking trails for dogs... We took the 2.5 hour one and did it in 3.5 hours. Awesome experience. .. nice challenge. In fact once u hit the summit - there are more lookouts farther along - but we were beat. The park is also continuing to build more lookouts. It is sooooo worth the climb! Ps the park employees were also very helpful.

We went to Parc National des Monts-Valin for a fishing trip and stayed in the Thereses-Dubuc EXP Chalet. Many issues with this chaletThe door handle to open the patio door was broken and we had to grab the lock to open/close the door. The window crank handles were all broken except for one. So we had to remove it every time to open/close the other windows. The water boiler wire was cut so it worked sporadically and the wire got very hot. You had to play with the wire to make the water boil. Very dangerous. This brings me to the worst. The hot water heater failed after our first night. They were not surprised as it had happened to other chalets. They knew it would fail. We went 2 full days without any hot water so no shower and had to boil water to wash dishes. When we went to advise them that we had no hot water the man there told us we'd get compensated with one or two nights of credit. When we checked out we got a $50 dollar credit good for one year and the guy who told us 1-2 nights was not there. WOWIf I wanted no hot water I would have paid for a camping spot and not a chalet for $104.25 plus tax per person per night. I would advise to avoid this place and go to other outfitters in the area that give you better value for your dollar. Also the room is very small and other chalets are very close by and you can hear everything else others are saying.

Good before they charge you $14/day to ride there

My fiance, dog and I spent the morning and early afternoon hiking Pic-de-la-Tete-de-Chien, and we were completely alone on the trail, the entire way. There was an ample parking lot to the left of the starting point for the trails, and each trail we came across was very well indicated. Our trek was certainly difficult, it took us about 3h30mins with many breaks at each of the viewpoints, there were so many gorgeous lookouts, all very well indicated as well. The first 2km were rather easy and flat---we came across a running moose within the first 15 mins of our hike, be prepared! The rest of the way up was a gradual ascent and kept us working hard. The ending 500m were many wooden stairs, leading to a formal lookout. It was rather muddy, given the recent rain, but enjoyable nonetheless! Recommended!

Excellent hiking! Beautiful trails. However the recommended time it took us to do our hike was an hour longer than suggested.. and we were walking fairly quickly.

We hiked up to the tête-de-chien view point. Worth every sweat drop: the view is stunning and the lake we passed was magical!

Great winter hiking. X-country ski trails were poorly groomed.

Super nice parc, not too far from Chicoutimi, but totally wild. Huge destination for winter sports

Totally impressive! I would highly recommend to take the 10h00AM departure to the summit during the winter with the snow mobile. You'll have a guide to bring you snow-showing down the the mountain out of the trail. It's very beautiful and it was worth every penny. Don't forget to have multi layer equipment and to bring your lunch.
