Amanda is the best! She walked our extremely energetic husky-mix twice a week. It seemed like every walk was an adventure for our pup, even though she was always on leash and didn’t even leave our neighbourhood. Amanda is so so patient and kind, and handled our pup with skill and compassion. I’m not sure we would have made it through the core puppy phase without her! We also found it easy to communicate around scheduling and payment.

We are so happy with Classical Canine! Ginger our standard poodle adores Amanda and learns so much. There is so much brain stimulation, and for a poodle it is a must so they don’t get bored and depressed. Amanda is kind and understands dogs. She cares deeply for Ginger and offers videos of her sessions so you can go back and watch how she handles your dog so you can continue during the week; this way you know you’re doing it right. We highly recommend Classical Canine!

As a certified dog trainer myself, I am extremely picky with who I choose to care for my dogs and I can say I have 100% trust in Amanda. I have a busy multidog household and they all love her so much!On top of being a wonderful and kind person, she is skilled in handling reactive dogs and those with special needs. She was so great with my shepherd mix who has a variety of issues including reactivity to dogs, stranger danger/nervous behaviour, and medical needs to consider.We have also worked together professionally and I can attest that she treats her clients’ dogs with as much care and respect as her own.I feel confident that when my dogs are with Amanda they are safe, loved, and receiving top-tier training. The peace of mind that comes from trusting the person handling your dog is priceless and I can’t thank her enough.

Amanda is AMAZING with dogs (and people). From my experience, she truly recognizes dogs cues, understands their needs and preferences, and makes valuable changes and suggestions for owners to enrich their dogs lives. She trained my teeny, anxiety-ridden Chipin to enjoy putting his harness on for walks and to be less anxious when going for a car ride. My only complaint is that she moved back to London, ON and we miss her terribly!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Classical Canine! I met Amanda when she used to watch my Golden Retriever. Little did I know that I would have developed a long-term friendship with her. She is so kind and cares so much about animals, she even went beyond to come pick up my dog from my home when I did not have a vehicle. She is very accommodating and will go above and beyond for your pets needs. Highly highly recommend!

I met Amanda when she was working with The Dog Classroom in Thunder Bay. I had just rescued a large dog that had severe fear-based behavior issues and extreme reactivity. I had absolutely no clue where to start with helping our new rescue adjust to his new life and address his behaviors. I started to believe that he might have been a lost cause. I could not be any more thankful that I was introduced to Amanda at that time.Amanda helped introduce us to positive reinforcement as a basic starting point for training with our new dog. She explained the foundational philosophies of behavior modification and provided examples in ways that made sense to us. She helped us employ those methods and provided us with instructive feedback and suggestions when she observed us training in-person. Most importantly, Amanda changed the way I perceived human-dog relationships, which absolutely changed everything about my relationship with my new rescue in the best ways possible. Our lessons were never about simply teaching our dog to listen to a command, but were about meeting our dog's needs in a way that encouraged him to trust and rely on his humans, while allowing all of us to live fulfilling lives.Since her relocation, Amanda has remained available to us for any questions I've had and to just be a friend in the dog training world! She continues to be an invaluable resource. Her dedication and commitment to fear-free behavior modification, advocacy and education is obvious. If you're looking for someone professional, gentle, non judgemental and ready to meet you where you're at in your dog training journey, I can't think of anyone better than Amanda.

Amanda is fantastic! She always went above and beyond and my pups always got the best care in the world. Luna was my puppy that at the time broken her leg, Amanda was very accommodating taking her out for pees on leash while luna had her cast. Her training skills are amazing she definitely helped with walking skills when luna was learning to not pull on leash! She was also wonderful with my reactive dog! Always gave her enough distance and nerved used aversive just management i love it! If your looking for someone to respect your dog she the lady to do it!
