YMCA Notre-Dame-de-Grâce - Les YMCA du Québec

Some of the classes are given in the cramped conditions, yoga class for example and a few other. The general feeling is not as friendly and comforting as should be for a gym. The people managing this complex don't really know what they are doing.

Upon my running through the neighborhood, I walked into the YMCA and asked to be issued a tour of their facilities.YMCA advised, that I had to provide gouvernement issued identification, so that I entered within their database. For security purposes.When I inquired, how soon would they destroy my personal information - they explained they do not. It remains within their database forever.If this isn't an abuse of a person personal information - what is?

Shocked at the children's swimming lessons. Yesterday, a toddler was forced to stay in the water with no help from a teacher. She was screaming and nearly went under water. The instructor explained that the little girl was being manipulative by screaming. Did not seem like a lesson in what to do if you nearly drown, but instead a lesson as to how to become traumatized by water...

This YMCA is older then others in the city and it shows when your inside and using the facilities , the layout of the building is definitely odd but yet for me it has a charm. I can see how some people would really dislike this gym and I can see how people would really love it. The staff are also an odd bunch of characters who I feel have been working at this YMCA for a very longtime so they are very comfortable with the positions they have and I admit that they are over bearing and disrespectful at times. I am not sure what causes this with the staff but it is a concern i have. They seem annoyed to be asked questions or to help , very moody types.

Been going for about seven years. I'm retired, so I go about five times a week. I do swimming, weights, spinning and yoga. Lots of other activities if you have the time. Front desk staff invariably friendly. A very good deal if you have the time to take part in what's on offer. Only critique, the building is old. A new one would be nice.

Came for a free trial. Lady at the front desk was very friendly and I liked talking with her, but god it was slow. It took 3x longer than we expected to get our trial started, and every time the phone rang she would prioritize them over us. Meanwhile there was her supervisor who wasn’t doing anything and could definitely have helped her man the phones.We also came to try out their badminton, and after renovations in the gym, they lifted the floors but kept the badminton pole holes at the same height.. which meant the net was about a foot too short. Pretty pointless to even have a net then.

I am so happy they reopened. I love this YMCA. They renovated so much inside including the locker rooms, showers. Their pool is perfect for kids because they bring up the temperature of it. Great staff.

After a long absence, my wife and I rejoined the Y in November 2022. The facilities seem to have been renovated and the staff are friendly and professional. We are very much enjoying the experience.

Depressing place. It’s nice to have a sport center nearby, but walk 10 more min and you have a MUCH better and bigger pool at the Benny Center (which is free).The people are super unfriendly at this YMCA, the only one I’ve ever been too. The (relatively) old lady at desk didn’t understand, did not want to understand or did not care about my simple question.Most people there are super unfriendly and the place looks like a dump. I’m sorry, but it really needs some work.

It's an amazing place to workout, meet like-minded people and be part of a great community. The trainers are very knowledgeable and helpful.
