A Paddle in the Park Kayaking

Really fun experience! My wife and I did the 2 hour Swartz Bay kayak tour. We saw a lot of wildlife. Our guide, Nick, was very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. The tour was well priced. I plan to do a longer tour next I’m in the area.

I went Kyaking with Nick (The NEW owner of a paddle in the park) in September, 2019. I am not an experienced kayaker so I was a bit nervous but Nick taught me some techniques, which gave me so much confidence on the water. I was blown away with his knowledge and respect for the ocean! We saw otters, seals, and a bald eagle soaring above!!! Thank you so much for the adventure of a life time! Thank you for sharing your love of kyaking and the ocean with me... I am excited to bring my family and friends along next time, thanks Nick. 10/10 highly recommend!

Superb time with Nick today, we saw so much wildlife and so much beauty in an around the small islands. The kayaking was at our place and the emphasis was on just having a great chilled out time. Nick was very knowledgeable and reassuring when it came to staying safe out on the water. Would definately recommend to anyone irrespective of their kayaking experience.

We recently did the 2hr sunset kayak and had a great experience. The shuttle from Victoria was very reasonably priced and punctual. Our guide Julian was very thorough, ensuring our comfort and safety in the kayaks. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and fauna as well. I would love to go back for a longer excursion. The scenery was beautiful.

We rented kayaks, haven't tried the guiding services.We just had a very unprofessional feel from this business. For a start, it was difficult to get someone on the phone. Then the rental was self-serve, with no staff at the location to help you get in the water or answer any question, no chart, no explanation... We managed anyway, having previous paddle experience, but this could leave beginners in a tough spot. I could recommend if only it were cheaper than it's next door competitors, but it's not.That said, the area is lovely for paddling, be wary of high boat traffic and possibility of tidal currents. I will probably kayak there in the future, I just don't see why I would deal with this business again or send them anyone.

Great experience, I did the 6 hrs Crown jewel tour and it was awesome. The island Nick took us to was beautiful, and we got to see lots of seals swimming by, as well as tones of star fish, and crabs. Nick was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions about the wild life and the different islands. The veggie wrap provide was also extremely good, it was very hardy and made locally.

Had a wonderful family experience kayaking last week. Nick (new owner since April 2017) rented our whole family the kayaks we needed and made every effort to ensure we were comfortable with the boats, the area, the maps and the safety aspects. Price was good and the equipment was in good shape. He's a fun guy and offers good customer service. Great kayaking spot - enjoy!

The sunset tour was lovely, the tour guide was really helpful and enthusiastic, and he shared tons of stories and information about the area while also letting us roam and creating a relaxed environment

What a great experience. My girlfriend and I did the 4 hours tour with our super friendly guide, Nick. We’ve seen a lot of wildlife and the lunch, included in the tour, was very good. I definitely recommend this tour!
