Taste of Lawrence

Always a pleasure attending this event. It's a great opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and try new and interesting food. The local food emporiums are always delicious. It's also a great way to try a new local food shop.

Taste of Lawrence food festival is a great place to hang out with friends and family. A lot of variety of street food vendors. This is my 2nd year visiting this food festival. This year I tasted Jerk Chicken, Thirst Trap and Wild Potato shops. The Jerk chicken @ coal pot catering taste so good, but the size of combo is too small for the price (less rice and coleslaw). Tried watermelon refresher and passion fruit ice tea, both taste good and helped me to refresh from the sun, costs $13 per drink, thought bit expensive, but no other chance. Wild potatoes taste good. There are entertaining activities and games for kids too. The music and other performances were so good and got us in to some refreshing vibes. Overall a good day to spend during summer with family and friends.

Not as exciting as the other festivals throughout the summer. Food is okay not great

Great day spent at Taste of Lawrence . Weather was beautiful.This is probably my 3rd year attending and well majority of the places seem more take out from neighboring restaurants than street food. We were able to try some street food like the octopus skewer from Tornado Fries and lamb skewers from Eat Monsoon. Octopus was cold even though I watched him cook them. We thoroughly enjoyed the lamb skewers and probably could of gone back for more. Hubby was happy to have jerk chicken sandwich and fried plantain from Soo Irie. I was happy to have delish Filipino dessert like carioca and sago gulaman from FV Foods . A little disappointed with Carib Bubble. The sorrel was refreshing but the tapioca balls seemed either over cooked or day olds. We so liked the idea though. Also you can't go to a festival without stopping by to see Big Mike at Likos .Great food as always at Taste of Lawrence.

One of the best food festivals in town. Nice place to be added to a list of summer attractions. Enjoy good food here.

Nice variety of food but it was packed

Taste of Lawrence management team should be more careful and should not allow vendors who are there to scam customers. Here, I am sharing my experience. This particular vendor where you had to put the ring on the duck and you win the prize. When I was able to put the ring they said the ring has to go all the way down the and should not be stuck on the peak. I asked them to show me how you can do it so they showed me by putting the ring from the bottom and with broken ring. I questioned that how this is possible when customers are throwing their rings from top. I said this is a scam and they said this is how it is. Please see the pictures.

Not too crowded when I went (early evening). Make sure to eat before you go because mostly everything is about $10 (even for just one skewer).

Great place and neighbourhood to get great deals from vendors. From great pieces of jewelry, clothes, food made nice and hot for you. Also fee goodies from some vendors. Three day festival to enjoy.

I got a Toronto Raptors NBA finals hat for only $15. Not the championship hat but the grey and black hat. Amazing price NO TAX!
