The Vernon Towne Theatre
This theatre is just a little gem! Other than the fact it is a very historic building(1938) so affordable. Took my grandson to an evening movie, both admittance, large popcorn large drink and large candy. $30 total. You cant beat that for an evening out at a big screen. Also have a family price pkge. Check this place out!"

Because apparently Scott John seems to think that people aren't entitled to their own opinions and sends personal facebook messages to anyone who doesn't agree with him, talking about things he knows nothing about, I will alter my review to say that: The two stars I graciously offered reflect that I believe the theatre is looking great, I'm happy to see that new life is being breathed into this theatre. The color scheme doesn't exactly reflect the art deco theme they society seems to be aiming for, I do wish more authenticity had been followed. My review reflects my feelings towards the toxicity of the Society itself and how awful some members truly are. I will never set foot inside this theatre again as long as Scott John is involved with it's operation.

The Vernon Towne Theatre
I really enjoy coming here for movies. It has a quaint atmosphere but combined with quality of a decent theatre. The snack bar is first rate with an assortment of products you don't get see elsewhere; Jones soda for one. Also, I'll get to see independent films here that you won't see in the commercial, Hollywood-formula driven venues. The last movie I went to see here was the Sound of Freedom which made for a great date night with my wife. Thank you so much for this place!

The Vernon Towne Theatre
Vernon Towne Theatre holds so many memories for me. I was a volunteer here for years while in university.My first movie here was the Pokémon movie when I was eight or nine years old. My brother and his then-girlfriend took me to see it.The first time I ever asked a woman to be my girlfriend was at the end of seeing a movie back in February 2014. We haven't spoken in eight years, but I still hold onto that memory.My wife and I came here a couple times before her passing.I love that it's a non-profit now. Anime nights, classic films, Clerks III, and so many other themed nights makes this a big piece of not just Vernon history, but also my personal life history.I am glad the community rallied together to keep this movie theater alive.Also, it's haunted!!!

It's always a great time to be had by all! My son and I especially enjoy anime night. It can be hard to find things to do with a teenager, and this is something we enjoy and can do together still.

Love this local theatre- and you will too. Run by a group of film lovers, great touches to the building and decor to give it that old feel!Go see movies here!Whether it’s the Monday night Arts and foreign films, the specials on Tuesday or a cheap matinee or first run!There’s something about a having a local theatre that is worth investing in. And a great concession too.Thanks for keeping it going Screen Arts!

The recent renovations are really nice! Retro feel to go along with the retro prices.With a family of 4 at the multiplexes we drop $100 between tickets and concession… about half the price at at The Towne for the same thing.The popcorn there is also the best, made with real coconut oil and real butter instead of whatever synthetic weird cheap stuff is the norm nowadays.Wine bar on the special Monday nights is an excellent bonus! Look forward to it being every night once their full time liquor license is approved.

I cant wait until Train Wreck Comedy does another show at the Cinema. Tim Nutt had me in stitches! A nostalgic and comfortable environment made for a thoroughly entertaining evening out. What a great way to fill up the the theatre... in laughter.
