We just finished our stay here @Glenghorm.As a person who travels alot I wanted wanted to share my feelings about our stay.1. The rooms were older with couches that had rips on the sides and top.2. More info is needed to people when they arrive about potential hazards in and around your private beach. Impacts of the hurricane were seen and when small kids are present it's not so much a friendly environment.3. The state of the furniture inside is like what you might find in a hostel.4. It being a Resort,  what does it offer for me to stay on site5. Not enough dishsoap, paper towel.  No garbage bags.6. Your staff here on site were more than personable , friendly. The highlight of the stay.7. TV and cable were extremely out of date.8. The last Renovation was done in 1992 according to travel weekly. To finish off, for 2 days and roughly 1000 dollars.  It's a spot that I will not be returning too.

Checked into our room only to find out the whole building we were staying in had no water. We returned to the desk, they informed us they knew about the issue prior to sending us to our room but sent us there anyway. We ended up changing rooms the new room wasn't much better but at least had water then the power went out because a fuse blew. Rooms are dated, run down/unclean, beds were uncomfortable, and the ice machines didn't work. Wasn't worth the almost 200$ to stay there for one night

We got a Ocean Front 1 bedroom cottage.. it was a last minute decision to tour Cape Breton... the location and service so far is great. Nice little place... but the cottages need a lot of update and general cleanup around... I mean, first thing I had to do was get the broom and start getting rid of the spiders over the door and in the corner.... the bathroom is crazy small and the shower smaller... not sure I can clean up in it tomorrow morning... and if your not going to add AC in the cottage, how about bigger windows that actually open?? And even better yet, how about curtains in the windows you do have?? Get rid of the satellite TV and give me AC and curtains!! The only thing worth $200/night is the view... not the cottage...

We were a group of 6 people, we booked the 2 room suite with an entertainment area. Great space to sleep at least 8, well stocked bathrooms. Overlooking sea. Will return soon. Thank you.

Our stay at Glenghorm was exceptional - the waterfront and beach are incredibly beautiful. Enjoyed having nightly fires. Our cabin was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. Dinner was yummy - but breakfast is indeed a light spread of bagels and beverages. No big deal, If that isn’t enough for you - bean barn beside them prepares an excellent full breakfast. Thank you Glenghorm, we’ll be back!

I can see why the ratings were high. This resort has great potential to fabulous. Like so many places I visited this trip it has been damaged by hurricane Fiona. Still a pleasant stop on tge Cabot trail.
