My visit today was alright. The Staff were attentive and knowledgeable with eagerness to satisfy customer's questions and requests. When I first walked into the store there were many people and had thought to myself... This is going to take a moment more than a few... And Well... The the competent staff quickly and politely dispatched the line up and before I know it... I was asking my questions and receiving answers. Unfortunately I was unable to purchase what I was looking for today but I will return in the future and buy what I was looking for.

I came in to pickup my pre-order of Tears Of the Kindom, and the experience I had was horrendous. The person I had originally bought the pre order from weeks ago was very kind and understanding of the situation I was in being a trans person and how my name isn't the same as my legal name and wrote how my chosen name in the pre-order was my chosen name and my legal name is my dead name. Today when I picked it up, the woman who gave it to me, Erica, was extremely rude. I came in with both of my recipes ready, and my edge rewards card, and she was having difficulty understanding how my name isn't my legal name. She asked me what my REAL name was in front of people, and I told her albeit very uncomfortably. She still didn't understand, and was being very snarky. She then asked if I wanted to change my name on my edge rewards to my real name, and I declined because i dont want anyone to know my deadname let alone call me by it whenever i come to get something. She then asked me if im changing it legally and i don't understand why its any of her business to know something that personal about me. I understand the game was 100 dollars, but the disrespect and uncomfortablness was unreal for a simple pickup of a video game. Why do you need to know my real name? I almost cried and my mom asked her why isnt any of her business. I will never be pre-ordering anything from this location again, and I hope that Erica comes to understand why it isn't okay to ask people like me those questions.

Erica went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me out. GameStop is better for people like her working there. Thank you!

Avoid this store at all cost! Very rude and patronizing staff. They clearly don’t want to be working there. Better try the store on Hillside or Langford- the staff is much friendlier

A small location, but they have a great selection and fantastic staff. If they don't have it they're happy to check if other locations around do. Knowledgeable, passionate and personable with every customer; they know how to connect with customers of all ages and gaming styles. The store itself is always clean, organized and full to the brim with geek goodies!Only downside is that it can be quite cramped. I use a cane daily for a disability and if they're the least bit busy in there it can be difficult to get around. Might want to consider getting rid of a free-standing display or two just to free up some more floor space for customers.

Had a pre order and was never called. The employee at the store confirmed I was never called. The employee confirmed to my wife and I apon arrival that no note was on file saying I was called.I was told “they must have been busy and missed you sorry”. Then the district manager who I contacted called me and told me I was in fact called called in a message left on my answering machine. So the district manager is calling me a liar? Very unprofessional to tell your 20+ year customer that they are wrong when your employee already confirmed otherwise. I will now purchase my gaming needs from elsewhere.

Gross attitude for management- patronizing and dismissive, would hate to go there as an uncertain parent or shy/unsure customer- last 3 visits have left me feeling like some annoying burden rather than a customer. Short answers, no offer for help or product lookup, didn’t even look at me when she replied. My least favourite store to visit, bad vibes behind the counter.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. Was greeted at the door and asked what I came in to find, stated I was looking for Wii Games and Accessories, looked for ten minutes without any luck. Tried to get the salesgirls attention to get help, but she was too busy talking to a friend. After waiting I finally got her attention and asked where I could find Wii items, she was very rude and said 'no one carries that' definitely could have told me that at the door. Staff needs better training.

The one piece figures are cheaper here than anywhere else I can find
