This base is severely understaffed. They keep losing people because they’re being transferred to other bases, and they haven’t sent us anyone new. They will soon have less than half of the necessary amount of people to be considered fully staffed. Currently, leave has been revoked. If the base continues at this rate, their operation/mission will be drastically affected by a decline in their unit's moral, mental health, and physical health.

I was stationed there from 1972 to 1975. I was assigned to the Chief of Maintenance 10 TRW. We lived in St Ives. I really enjoyed my time there.

I spent a couple of the best years of my life there in the mid '70s. As part of a very small U.S. Army detachment that were known as the long haired, big mustached group. They bussed in the Corby Commandos and Leichester Ladies on Friday and Saturday nights, to have fun and enjoy life with the boys from the states" at the Aquarius Enlisted Men's club/disco & tavern. I was stationed there in the early 80's a small base but a good one. The best base that I was ever stationed at. I lived in a small town called st. Ives. Made a lot of good friends.

My father was stationed at this base for three years and my entire family joined him. The base is family friendly, inviting, friendly, and you'll never find one like it. I loved it there. I had so many great memories.
