Rebel Dogs Detroit

Rebel Dogs is an amazing rescue. They work around the clock helping Detroits stray dog epidemic. I have adopted three dogs from them and have always had a wonderful experience. I will always be grateful for Rebel Dogs. Thank you for being here and doing the difficult and necessary work.If you are interested in fostering, adopting, or volunteering this is a wonderful organization to go through.

Rebel Dogs is an amazing organization! They are an absolute asset to the community and help so many homeless, abused and injured dogs with care and finding homes. We had the absolute best rescue/adoption experience and our pup has has healed our broken hearts after we had to put down our 14 year old lab. We still talk with our foster monthly and she has said fostering was such a fulfilling experience for her as well with Rebel dogs. Rebel Dogs will do anything to make sure they leave no dog behind. They are the greatest humans and organization!

I absolutely love my rebel dog, Murray. She was found right before a snow storm in 2022 and we fostered to adopt her the day of the snow storm on ground Hogs day. She has been absolutely perfect for our family and fits in with her fur sisters and our kids. I don't know what we would do without her.Rebel Dogs puts the dogs first, they work endlessly and tirelessly to help the dogs of Detroit.

Doing incredible work to help every dog they possibly can… a sometimes impossibly difficult task. These are the most hardworking selfless people and the dogs and dog lovers of Detroit are blessed to have them!

I’ve worked with Rebel Dogs for over 4 years. They take on some of the most challenging rescues and have some of the most dedicated volunteers. They need fosters at all times so try it out because it is one of the most rewarding things you can do for the animals of Detroit!!!

I have adopted my baby from RDD and it has been a great experience. We initially fostered and were provided with all the supplies the dog needed, food, crate, leash, etc. When medical care was required, they took care of it as well. They are very engaged in the community and really try their best to find a home for all the dogs in their care. Fostering and adopting from Rebel Dogs has been so worth it! The dog’s needs are their first priority!

I found a senior Terrier dog on the street about to be hit by vehicular traffic. I didn't want a dog, but I didn't want the dog to be killed on the street! I called the usual suspects, humane society etc... blah, blah... no answer or response to my voicemail message. I called Rebel Dogs Detroit and they responded promptly. I informed them that I really wasn't trying to keep the dog just wanted to find him a home. Rebel told me to bring him in. Cool facility in the hood. If you want a nice Pit Bull, they have a large selection of them. They seem to be about the business of rescuing dogs and that's dope! Much Respect for Rebel Dogs Detroit!!!

Rebel Dogs is a really great organization, full of people who are doing amazing work to help the dogs in Detroit. In my experience, they never hesitate to help a dog, and do everything in their power to take in as many dogs as they possibly can. I would recommend Rebel Dogs to anyone looking to adopt or foster (they can’t take in dogs unless they have fosters!), or to anyone looking to volunteer and help make a difference in dogs’ lives! I personally called them when I found a stray dog in Detroit; they offered supplies and support while I temporarily held him, and then they found a foster for him since I wasn’t able to keep the dog. I’m glad they stepped in and helped the pup out!
