La Clinique pour Enfants @ Pointe-Claire

The doctors are good, but getting an appointment for a regular checkup is a war that I wasn’t able to win in the past 3 years. I didn’t even try to make appointments with their doctor for minor emergencies anymore. Everything others mentioned has happened: hung up on me repeatedly every it’s my turn, after 20 minutes of waiting on the line, no return of emails, no return of messages, their online booking system doesn’t allow me to book, it says to call. I went in person to schedule an appointment and I was told to call back in 1 month, because there were no appointments now and the new schedule opens in a month. I tried calling back a month later and repeated the same attempts without a result. I informed the receptionists of the situation, I wrote an email to the clinic manager and to the paediatricians to advice them of the situation and that got ignored as well. I gave up on this clinic and I get better service by calling 811, as they have appointments available for patients registered on GAMF and waiting for a family doctor. I was able to get doctor appointments for my kids this way when needed. The wait on the line is long, but successful every time! Unlike ALL my attempts at this clinic.

Been taking my twins there for a year now and have always had incredible service. They always answer the phones and I always get an appointment whether in person or virtual within a normal time delay. We adore our paediatrician Dr Zaharia and the entire team here.

Useless, won’t pick up phone and impossible to get an appointment. Both my kids have not had an appointment available in 3 years

Horrible time trying to reach them! During the last year, getting appointments for my babies take months and MONTHS. Currently, it has been 5 weeks, I am calling every day, many times a day to get an appointment for my son, not even 6 months old. I left messages, they don't even call you back within 48 hours. They don't care!!! This is my second time experiencing about 2 months of wait on the phone. This is impossible!!! This is unprofessional.

I attempted to schedule an appointment with our pediatrician through their app only to be told I needed to call due to technical difficulties. I called 3 times and waited on hold for my turn 20-40mins each respectively only for it to HANG UP the moment I was first in queue . Absolutely unacceptable. What's worse is that when you actually go into the clinic there are 3 people at reception. When the new clinic opened we were told that all the reception/phone/appointment issues would be dealt with, instead they have worsened.

Pediatrician leaves for months on vacation and no one advises us.Good luck trying to schedule an appointment.I called at 8am on the dot 3 days in a row(because apparently they only start taking appointments every morning at 8am)and every single day they were already booked by 8:01am.I tried to get an appointment that’s not necessarily the next day or even the same week,but apparently that’s not possible.Our Pediatrician (that works there) leaves for vacation and they just leave us stranded.If you care for your child find another clinic, because they obviously don’t.

Extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone let alone make an appointment. In a land of terrible medical customer service this place manages to take the cake.

Had to get an urgent appointment for my daughter; all the staff was very kind, we hardly waited and the doctor was great. Overall excellent experience and we are relieved that my daughter got the care she needed!

Update: Fun fact, their phone system flushes everyone automatically after 20 minutes. No priority queue or recall when it's your turn function when they have 20+ doctors...Like so many other people mentioned, the online booking doesn’t work and they dont answer the phone. The receptionists alone makes this clinic a living hell every time one of our child needs a scheduled or emergency appointment. Sad really because when we manage to get an appointment, their pediatrician is great.

My Daughter’s life long paediatrician was a wonderful and professional doctor who made us feel safe when he gave us his seal of approval. When retired my Daughter was assigned a new doctor. She has been helpful too, the Clinic is nice and modern but way too far for a Montrealer. Since the pandemic, i think they were closed for a year, as we stuck it out, we managed a telephone appointment which lets say is better than nothing. There seems to be a major shortage of family doctors now, putting my Daughter on a waiting list sounds risky. And now unfortunately, the regular doctor is on indefinite leave. You would think arrangements would have been made, since your child could only get their check up from their family doctor. But we will have to navigate this new booking system which so far seems impossible.
