Highly recommend! My mom had spent a lot of time searching for a 'Strandkorb' and even considered having one shipped from Germany. For her 65th birthday gift, we reached out to Thomas from SunHaus Designs and ended up finding the perfect piece to surprise her with. Both Thomas and his wife were very professional and friendly. It was the best surprise ever and my mom has already enjoyed some of the spring sunshine in her Strandkorb.

We love our SunHaus. I received it for my special birthday - the best gift EVER! It is on our patio - just outside of the kitchen. Sitting in it makes you feel like you are on vacation. Now I have every day a little bit of Vacation. It provides shelter from wind and sun - the perfect addition to any property.

For years my wife has dreamed of owning a Strandkorb" so that she could be reminded of her childhood visits to the beaches of the North Sea. Recently

We had wanted to buy a Strandkorb since 2018, and did not know what they were called until May 2021. That lead me to SunHaus, as well as German suppliers. Thomas was very patient with me, as we went through many Email and phone discussions, about what could be available. It was much easier to have SunHaus arrange transport and import than it would have been for me. Thomas was very good about communicating changes to arrival dates due to global supply chain issues. Once it arrived, the pickup was very easy. The not yet assembled Strandkorb is in storage until May 2022.

Recently purchased my SunHaus chair. and am now able enjoy my backyard even on cooler sunny and windy days in early spring. Given the cost, it is still definitely an excellent alternative to the Muskoka chair. It is a great addition to my existing patio furniture, very comfortable to sit and definitely eye-catchingMaterial is sturdy and seems spill proof. Spilled coffee, it wiped off without leaving a stain.Adding wheels definitely helps to move the chair with ease. The protective cover is easy and fast to put on and take off. Overall, I can highly recommend these chairs.

Growing up on the coast of Northern Germany, “Strandkörbe” were a very familiar sight. My parents had one in their garden near Hamburg for decades and we had another one on our balcony on the island of Sylt. When I met my Toronto-born wife and we decided to become engaged, she suggested to do this in a Strandkorb while visiting Sylt. After we enjoyed them also on our last trip to Germany’s Baltic coast, we finally decided to find out if we could locate an importer to Canada. We were very fortunate to meet up with Thomas and SunHaus. We met Thomas in Wasaga Beach and immediately purchased the desired object, which Thomas recently delivered to our home in Toronto, where we now can enjoy it on our patio. Our new SunHaus will provide us with ample protection from the sun, the winds, and the rain. It is the prefect refuge for all kinds of weather.

We purchased the Seaside XXL Design 455 from the Dockside Collection. We chose it because it is one of the largest available, has more interior space, thicker cushions and more features. Our Sunhaus sits at the beach in a very windy location and allows us to sit protected and warm even on the most blustery days. When it is hot we extend the canopy and recline in shaded comfort. The XXL size is generous even for 2 adults.This is a high quality, premium product and worth every penny. It is a substantial piece of furniture that will last for years, is functional, fun and looks amazing on our beachside deck. Delivery and setup was on time, professional and friendly. We love the SunHaus!
