Never have I encountered such incompetent people and a horrible way of conducting business. Finding ways to rob poor students that are in enough financial ruin already of MORE money.For starters, their online system does not work. I’ve tried to use multiple cards to pay for my permits online but the system never allows it. For the past 5 months I’ve had to physically go to their office and pay.The appeals process for tickets is awful. I was told that the appeal would have finished being reviewed in 6-8 weeks and so far I’ve gotten nothing from them. They fined me for not moving my car out of a parking lot I had a permit for because of a craft sale and said on the permit that I did not have a valid permit for the lot. Are you kidding me?? Gosh, they’re awful. The prices for monthly permits are also insane. Almost $200 for underground parking? Pure thievery. I wish there was somewhere I could report them for unethical business.

The worst people to deal with. All incredibly rude especially the supervisor Adele. You get parking tickets even if you have an active parking pass that they say is mandatory to pay for. Why have a parking pass then?? All staff are rude, miserable and immediately have a bad attitude except the receptionist she’s lovely

I got charged twice paying for parking. Their kiosk was not cooperating so I tapped my card twice. I later found out that I was charged twice. After following up with them they told me that only one transaction had gone through. Even though I phoned my bank to confirm I was charged twice. Thankfully, out of courtesy my bank refunded me, however uofa parking didn't even investigate as to why I was charged twice, no apology, nothing. Perhaps the worst customer service ever. Clearly customer is not what matters to them. They care about one thing and one thing only, money! If only I could give 0 stars.

I had a printed ticket on my windshield for not having a proper permit, after not being notified that my credit card payment did not go through online (I had receipts claiming otherwise). I went on the parking site to appeal the citation only to be notified that I actually had TWO tickets for improper permit, the other one being from just a day before which I was not given a printed ticket for (I park underground and the winds are not THAT strong). I appealed both, and never heard from them again, so I called only to be told by the lady that I (as a full-time worker and student) should be checking the parking site daily for citations because physical tickets are unreliable.

I was invited to attend a day-long professional meeting along with other UofA Faculty members at the North Edmonton campus on December 13th 2022 . Upon arrival, I attempted to purchase a day-permit for the duration of our meeting, but despite multiple attempts, their parking meter would not sell me more than 3 hour increments. You can not be walking out of a meeting at any given point to purchase more parking time! The same occurred at subsequent visits to the meter. Despite purchasing THREE parking permits over the course of the day, at the ludicrous cost $38.50 for SEVEN HOURS, I was still greeted by a $100 fine upon arrival at my vehicle, all of this for the privilege of spending more money at their campus. I can only imagine how they treat their more vulnerable students. Note that parking in the street, which is the same walking distance as their parking lot, is only $15.00/ day. I would NOT recommend holding any meetings at this campus.

Got a parking citation despite paying the $15 parking to stay until 6 am the next day. I submitted an appeal immediately but have received a hold on my bear tracks account, ultimately preventing me from enrolling in classes. Parking enforcement is draconian and incredibly ineffective, considering that it takes 10-12 weeks to get an appeal but a hold on my account shows up immediately ??? So yeah, thanks for forcing me to pay $100 for a citation I should have never received in the first place, just so I can enroll in my classes and actually graduate in time.Seriously, do not park here. Park literally anywhere else

I downloaded the recommended app to pay for parking. My payment sounded like it processed, with my apple pay notification going off, however the payment appears to not have gone through. I came back to a $100 ticket, which after reading these reviews doubt I have a chance of appealing. I’m scared to ever park at U of A again, which is a shame given the stress of student life and living further away from campus. Why don’t they have an adequate parking service?

UofA parking services is terrible.I received a parking ticket not 3 minutes after parking, even though the indoor meter in FAB was broken, unbeknownst to me. When I returned to my car, the parking officer informed me that there was 'nothing he could do' as he had already printed the ticket, as he was printing the ticket and informed me that he knew the meter inside was broken, but gave me a ticket anyways as he did not see me use the machine outside. He suggested I take up my qualm with the parking services appeal system, as it was at that point out of his hands.This is an issue for me, as the institution withholds your ability to enroll for classes online unless you pay your ticket, forcing you to pay or endanger your education. I submitted an appeal online 8 weeks ago regarding the citation, and I have received no response despite the promised decision time of 6 weeks. This behavior is in my opinion unjustified and unprofessional, especially considering that the main clientele of UofA parking services are students, who struggle to pay tuition on time.I implore any student reading this to promptly pay for parking on arrival to the UofA, so as not to lose any more hard-earned money for such unjust reasons.

This place is shamefully disrespectful to their paying customers. You pay every month to park there and you are treated very poorly. Sometimes they give you tickets because their computer system doesn't register you properly! And a ticket will cost you $100! It is a joke! Even city Edmonton parking violations are only $50! I've never dealt with such mean and rude people as the ones that work here! If you can... stay away! unfortunately, they run almost all the parking around U of A so we have no choice but to be abused. Someone needs to sue them!

Most unfriendly group of people I've talked to date. Will not listen to your situation and only site code as a response. Even if you did not park in their carpark, they want you to pay. Evil services.
