Fisher’s Pond Nature Reserve
Part of the Bruce trail on Guelph Line, just south of Mt Nemo Conservation Area. Hidden gem with varied terrain, steep foot paths & winding trails. Ideal for runners which were on the trail as well as, hikers completing the Bruce trail end to end. Option to cross over the street & continue on the main trail for added running or hiking. Parking on west side of the road (approx 10 cars only).

Followed google maps from Brant St via streets through the houses and reached a no entry area/dead end with private property banner. How to access this pond? Where to park the car?

With beautiful views throughout the trail, and Ontario nature at its finest, this is another gem along our magnificent Bruce Trail.Reasonably accessible, but a few challenging sections if there's been a lot of wet weather (that soaks the ground).

Growing up in the area this was a great place to walk. Nice trails, lots to explore in and out of the forest. Over the years more and more got fenced off. Now there are less places to explore. Unless you go off trail a little. The pond is beautiful and a good spot to ice skate if you don't mind a little walk. Also, a hidden gem is the view from the top of the hill over Burlington.

Fisher’s Pond Nature Reserve
As an avid hiker and dog walker, I have truly enjoyed this expansive tract of unmolested land. With easy access to the Bruce trail and enough space within the nature reserve for a quick 4 km stroll with the dog, this is one of Burlington's best kept secrets, going by the surprisingly sparse footfall. Do keep in mind that access to the trails is via a private property (28 linear inches of land separate the road tarmac from the trail, at 2151 Highview Dr), the owner of which is a bit of an ogre obsessed with people trampling his grass"."
