Zach and his team were very flexible and accommodating when making arrangements to work with us. After meeting our group virtually, he travelled to meet us in our own facility and provided our applicants excellent feedback throughout the process. I would like to thank Deqa for the excellent technical support that she provided during the renewal of my student membership with CSEP. I was experiencing some difficulties when trying to fill out the student membership section on the CSEP Store page online. Deqa went so far as calling me at home and walked me through the steps on how to register for the student membership online. Their CEP designation is overrated. Claims to be the gold standard but uses ACSM research as most of their resource with no actual CEP book to study for other than the CEP examination guide, which tells you what you will get quizzed on with a list of OTHER resources to study off of. (The PATH is really just for the CPT). Then charges an extra $500-1000 (depending on province) for the CEP workshop which is a day before the exam. Complete cash grab

Received my certification in a timely manner after completing both practical and theory exams.

Applied in November still till February hasn't had anything in montreal for practical exam not even in kingston or oshawa which I would have to travel waste 200$ extra for. Everything else is 10 hours or more driving distance. Called them for help didnt hear from them for over a week so I called back and she told me she will have a plan by monday Feb 4th, which was a week from the phone. Didnt call me back until Tuesday saying she working on it. Called Feb 11th said she would call me back today just has to see the plans with someone. Didnt call me back, so I was fet up and ask for a refund. Bought the books couldn't return them. Didnt want to refund me for even the application for wasting my time and not warning me that it is only once a year or less then that they do the practical exam in Montreal.

After taking both the testing and required materials through CSEP, I would strongly caution future individuals from taking this course. As a Kinesiology Graduate, Marathon Runner who has used countless personal trainers, and an experienced coach– I can confidently say I was not fully prepared through this program.Both the theory and practical exam included materials that were not discussed in any of the reviews provided. As someone who is confident in my learning, it’s made me question whether these tests are a fair evaluation on my knowledge or rather a test set up for me to fail.To those in future who are planning on taking said program, I recommend further evaluation on alternative courses. There are many other programs that offer many more materials and have a higher accreditation at a much lower cost for testing, retesting, and materials.

I expected a lot better customer service from such a reputable company. I have been begging for a copy of my insurance policy, which I have paid for, for months on end. No one answers the phone, no one responds to your emails, and the one person who answered the phone once (probably by accident) didn’t know how to help..she didn’t even know her own company policies. How is it that such an important issue is just being ignored? I’m not sure who to reach out to anymore. I wish there was someone else to contact besides their membership department.

Books are too expensive

I have been a member for more than 20 years. I always wondered why their conference are always held in Fredericton or BC?Why not in Toronto, Ottawa or Montréal for a change?I will not renew my membership, I will go with Can-Fit-Pro
