Pathfinder Pet Care & Dog Ranch

Awesome daycare & boarding service! We had to go to the States for a couple days but couldn't find any friends to take care of our dog. I found Pathfinder online and asked whether it is possible to board my dog for a couple nights. I was initially concerned because my dog is a rescue, she is very skittish around new people and is not the best doggie when in the dog park. Chantale was quick to respond and offered us a trial half-day camp. Our dog had a blast during the half-day camp and made friends there. Then Chantale suggested us to send our dog for daycare services for a couple times so that the dog will get used to the staffs and the new environment. Our dog loved the daycare camps - she kept on running & running & running for almost 8 hours every time! It was also a relief for us because we do not need to walk her anymore for the day and she will stay quiet & be a good girl for the next day. During the boarding days, our dog also had a great time with Chantale and other paw friends. She allowed Chantale to hug her, touch her body and became a super snuggly doggie : ) It is such a big difference when compared to the first time she met Chantale and her crew. It is such a comfort to know that we have a good place for our dog to go when we had to be away and can't take care of her. Highly recommend!

0i took my pomeranian cross, Jaxx, for a half hour meet-and-greet. Jaxx is inclined to bark loudly and often, at other dogs, men, paper bags, you name it. I was a little worried, as he was adopted from the BCSPCA, and not well socialized to other dogs. After 30 minutes, we returned to pick him up and I was astonished to see Jax milling around with a pack of little dogs and one larger one. He wasn't barking!Chantal, who runs the facility, knew exactly how to make him feel at home. There is tons of space for the animals to play safely outdoors and she treats them as if they were her own. I have perfect confidence in her ability to care for my Jaxx on her beautiful farm. Highly recommended.Jaxx slept for a long time after all his fun.

I boarded my mini schnoodle here while I went on a 10 day trip, and I'm thrilled with the level of care he recieved. He's a clingy dog who doesn't like being apart from me, and Chantale was like a surrogate mom to him while I was away. She let him accompany her everywhere for his entire stay, even going so far as to let him sleep in her bed, and she kept him busy with a variety of activities. She kept us updated with adorable photos and videos, and he was less ecstatic upon my return than he usually is, which I took as a sign that he was reluctant to leave! This will be our go-to boarding facility from now on, and I'm so happy to have found such a high-quality place for my furry son.

We recently left our Dachshund Stanley with Pathfinder Dog Ranch for a 3-night stay. Prior to having Stanley overnight at the ranch, Chantale worked with him to make sure he would be comfortable staying away from home. He came for a few shorter visits to get used to the staff and the new surroundings. What I appreciate most about the ranch is Chantale’s philosophy of having the dogs feel like they’re at home. There are no crates or cages and the dogs have company all day long. Chantale knew I was nervous about leaving Stanley and she sent me photos and videos to show how much fun he was having. I recommend Chantale and the Pathfinder Dog Ranch team to anyone looking for the perfect home away from home for their beloved family pet. Looking forward to our next getaway!

Chantale and team are superb and couldn't be any sweeter. My dog comes to daycare here once a week and was boarded for two weeks during our recent Christmas vacation. My dog is reactive and I was afraid that over the Christmas break, his training would be undone and we would have to start from scratch. To my surprise, his reactivity seemed to have improved after we picked him up!They are not as on top of it as other competitors in terms of posting on social media. However, don't let this deter you. Chantale is SUPER responsive by text and when photos/videos are requested, she sends them almost immediately.You can tell that Chantale and team really care about the dogs and have a special bond with each one of them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pathfinder to my family and friends.

Our dog loves this dog ranch! There is so much room for him to run around, play with other dogs, and sniff to his hearts content. Chantal is amazing with him and she cares about all the dogs! Thank you!

We recently had our two Labradoodle dogs taken care of for 9days by Pathfinders and one of the Carers Paula who house sat overnight while we were away. Love, affection and amazing care was shown, Paula always kept us up to date with pics, videos and messages. Highly recommended if you want a safe, loving and stress free space and care for your dogs. Pathfinders we’re super accommodating as well as I was stuck for care at short notice, they came up with a solution and were amazing. Will definitely use their service again.

I boarded my husky pup for the first time at Pathfinder last week for a few nights. When I first contacted Chantale she was able to accept my dog in quickly and explained what to expect. Chantale and her staff took great care of my dog and kept me posted with pictures. When I picked him up I was glad to see my dog was happy, calm, and tired from all the playing. I would choose Pathfinder again next time for dog boarding and dog daycare as they have amazing staff, lots of space for dogs to run around, and separated zones for dogs with different needs. Thank you Chantale and others for taking care of my baby when I’m away.

Moved to Richmond mid-April. Have a planned 2week family reunion trip early May. Have a stubborn Chow who is super attached to immediate family only.After googling and we found Chantale of Pathfinder Dog Ranch. My wife read all reviews of her and have a hunch that she can help us.We brought our Chow to day camps and Chantale immediately started bonding with her. Our Chow started boarding after a few day camps. Not only that Chantale took good care of our Chow, she even could take her to vet for an eye issue that turned out to be a corneal ulcer, and made her finished all her medications and eye drops. Chantale did not charge for her time to take our Chow to vet.We are glad we found Chantale and happy to know there’s a boarding place for our Chow when needed.Highly recommend Chantale, she accomplished the almost impossible for our family.

We leave our 2 year old Lizzie at the Ranch when we go on holidays and she has an absolute blast. Chantale and her partner take amazing care of her and send us tons of photos of her with the other dogs. Lizzie always returns very happy and confident. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have someone we trust to take good care of her!
