Several months ago, we changed our veterinarian to Dr. Bannon. Since then, we have been seeing him quite frequently. After only a short period of time, we were able to get to know him well, and we saw our dog's trust in him grow with each visit. During this time, a unique patient-doctor relationship developed. It was my dog's most positive veterinarian experience during her eight years of life.What happens in his small veterinary clinic is real, animal-centred veterinary medicine.Dr. Banon and his assistant came to our home to euthanize our dog. The team handled this exceptional situation very professionally while providing us with the needed support. We were also very grateful for Hospital General's assistance coordinating the cremation. Our deepest appreciation!Should we adopt another furry companion in the future, we will definitely keep Dr. Banon as our vet!

The staff is very sweet - professional and friendly. They always call to confirm appointments and treat us perfectly - great customer service.They keep the hosted animals out of the cage as much as possible (behind the cash at the front reception, where they can relax with the slow movement of people coming and going, and the company of other dogs).The doctor obviously loves animals, although it is true that he is not the warmest person. Is this a deal breaker thou? It takes many to build a world.Money-wise, every time I go it ends up costing me $100 with the vaccines, anti-worms etc. I find it a lot. But, hey, my own medical appointments cost a lot too. Why should I cheapen out on my pet?It's a good place to go - I would love it if it were cheaper but with the same quality.

Dr. Banon has been taking care of our dog from the time we adopted him 11 years ago. He provides excellent care and always takes the extra time to explain. His staff are professional and very nice to deal with and I appreciate their follow up calls the next day to see how our dog is doing.

As I sit here waiting for my cat to get blood tests I am so upset by the attitude of the vet and misrepresentation of a consultation I had last week. It was I who said ok well you recommend an X-ray but we won’t get all the answers then let’s do the ultrasound. I am not used to being reprimanded by a vet who tells me to hurry up while he is charging me another consulting fee for the same issue.I found out ultrasound is $520 -600 (average price everywhere done by outside company) which isn’t the issue. It was that the veterinarian took my suggestion my own words from the first consultation we had claiming he was trying to save me money etc . While it was actually me who said it. Claiming he was trying to save me money kind of gaslighting me. And he says hurry no time hurry hurry I dont have time here for you many patients . I had been in the room about 5 minute - the details of my cat’s health are not important . Do not recommend

Dr Banon is an extremely skillful and caring vet. He has a real heart for animals. He has always been generous and conscientious, and my family has been consulting him for decades, for a series of adopted animals. If all vets were like Dr Banon, animals would have better lives. (You have to be alert when you speak to him, to make sure he has heard you correctly, because he has a hearing problem.)(I have read the negative reviews and I can only imagine that either the complainants were not paying attention or they simply resented spending any money at all on the little creatures in their care: Dr Banon certainly does not over-charge, quite the contrary. Sometimes a combination of overwork and his hearing problem may make him seem a little abrupt, but you can be 100% sure that he is giving his patient (the animal) his fullest attention and devoting his full medical skills to him or her.)

Worst vet experience ever - never take your animals here. Our appointment with Dr Banon was at 6:30 and we got home at 9pm. He would cut me off every time I had questions and my dog, who was bleeding in the waiting room for hours from a ripped claw, received NO treatment. The doctor wouldn’t wrap his paw either or do anything. We paid 300$ for absolutely nothing except rudeness and a traumatized dog.

The first couple visits with Dr Banon for our puppy's vaccinations seemed to go well, but each visit after got progressively worse. We noticed a common practice of overbooking their schedule - at our last visit, we were left waiting over 1hr for a technician to even see our dog, they then left our dog alone in the treatment room for another 45 mins, and by the time the vet called us in to discuss the check-up the vaccines had not even been administered. Our dog would come out of each visit more nervous than the last - owners are not allowed into the treatment rooms until the end of the check-ups so we have no sight on how she may have been treated. When we went to our new vet, our dog was immediately terrified after seeing a vaccine needle again - we do not know what happened at previous vaccine visits with Dr Banon but evidently our dog came out of it with some bad experiences. Dr Banon was friendly at first, but progressively became more dismissive to the point of avoiding answering some of our questions altogether. The final tipping point for us was a series of miscommunications between the vet and staff which resulted in our dog not getting the treatments for which we had booked the appointment. As much as I'd like to support a smaller neighborhood vet, unfortunately I would not recommend this clinic.

We waited 45 minutes for my dog to be seen (after the time at which the appointment was scheduled), then after looking at my dog for 5 seconds, he left again and we waited another 15 mins for him to prepare a quote for how much it would cost. Then he refused to answer questions regarding risks, and other potential treatment alternatives for my dog, because 'his waiting room was too full'. Never coming back Dr. Banon.

This doctor wanted us to initiate a very strong medication for my old dog and perform very expensive exams. What bothered me was that he was frustrated and impatient when I asked more information. He kept telling me that he had other people waiting for him. I decided to leave without performing more exams because I did not have a good feeling about him. So happy I went for a second opinion, no medication nor exams were needed and my dog lived for another 7 years without treatment.I am writing this review now because a friend of mine ended up at this vet and he suggested a hospitalization which costed a fortune. They even suggested to put the animal down.I strongly suggested her to get a second opinion based on my experience. 700$ later pet is doing a lot better and was sent home.
