Maria Northern Mexican Cuisine
Had lunch with an old friend here and it was very good. The service was prompt and the food was quite authentic and tasty. Anything in the old Boardwalk building has atmosphere but this was a nice find, especially for someone who doesn’t get downtown anymore. We will definitely return.

Walked by this place one day and thought I would give it a try. Went with a couple of girlfriends and shared some menu items. We started with the guacamole and salsa with nachos. I found the Salsa was fresh and tasty. We ordered a variety of tacos to share which all were good. The only tacos I didn't really enjoy were the shrimp tacos I just found no flavours and I didn't like the consistency of the shrimp. We also ordered the chicken and beef tacos which were great. I also like how you get variety of sides with your tacos which was nice. The service was fast and our waitress was very friendly. A nice place if your wanting to try authentic northern Mexican food.

The veggie Creaser salad is an hot plate of veg, good for plant based person (good for two people or one person whom eats a lot like me). With some cheese, the virgin pina coladas is good, the deserts good.

A beautiful spot with great food, service, and atmosphere. The server Juliana was very friendly and accommodating. The food (Baja tacos) was delicious and had the perfect balance of sweet/salty/spicy/crunchy. A highlight to my short stay in Edmonton.

Update: went for date night, and hubby loved the tacos and sangria, had a lovely evening out on their little patio.Just had a team lunch at this place, the tacos were amazing, my piña colada was nice and creamy and the atmosphere was authentic, will definitely be coming here again

Server was lovely however she was the only one server. It was lunch hour and Cinco De Mayo. We had nearly finished our food before our drink order arrived. Otherwise a lovely experience.

Tried Maria for lunch today. The Elote was super tasty, it has a nice lime flavor and the spicy mayo complimented the corn. I also had the quesabirria. The beef & lamb was slow roasted to perfection but it was a little light on the cheese in the quesadilla. Service was good. Would come back!

My first time here. Place was very quiet although the music was hopping. The space was warm and inviting and the food, amazing. We started with guacamole and chips and they were on point. My dining partner had a non alcoholic strawberry margarita and l had a Twenty20 Caesar with tequila. Both drinks were stellar. My Caramelos taco was amazingly tender and flavourful and my dining partner thoroughly enjoyed her Baja Fish Tacos. Maria needs more Edmonton Love. It’s such a gem. I’d come back tomorrow if l can.
