LA Sugaring

I have been with Illa for many years! my experience has been pleasant and very clean and affordable. She has been sick in the last couple of years, so it is understandable that things got out of hand, but she is a very hard worker and makes her clients comfortable!

I purchased a 10 pack VIP card from LA a while back. Today I went for my 8th appointment and was told (quite rudely) that if I didn't buy another membership card today (ranging from $100-175), I'd have to pay full price ($60) for my appointment today AND the remaining services I had would be void. Naturally, I didn't plan to spend $100-175 when I went in, thinking I had a few left to use. I kindly asked her if I could plan to buy the membership next time at my next appointment and she wouldn't allow me to. Ila then made me read the back of a VIP card in her office regarding the terms... one which read If you do not renew the membership with 1 appointment left

Not professional. The sugaring was affordable and not very cleaned but the service client was awful. First, they tried to charge me more of what I saw online until I told them. when I wanted to pay she said that I can only do e-transfer. Then she left me to sugar another client without mentioning anything which is very rude. I had to wait until she is done to pay with an e-transfer.

Been going to LA sugaring for 10 years now. Usually like it, however this last year every appointment keeps getting worse and worse. Ila (the owner) was DRUNK once in the summer while sugaring me, I waited 45 mins outside the room, she could barley stand (used the table a lot) and was drinking out of a clear water bottle, I could easily smell it on her breath. Since then every single appointment she’s been late for. And recently Shes canceled hours before my appointment and now is not showing up to appointments.. I have now driven twice to go to my appointment where someone else informs me she didn’t show up or let any of her clients know.The only reason I keep going back is I still have a bunch of money on my VIP package. Extremely disappointed with LA sugaring. I miss sandy (lady who used to sugar me)This place isn’t even sanitary and the sugar isn’t even warm.Super cheap if you have the vip card but not worth your time.

I have been getting sugared by Illa for over 24 years! I have followed her over her career and I would not go to anyone else!!Professional, friendly & great at what she does!! Ps grab the VIP card for extra savings!! :)

I had a good first appointment at LA sugaring, however, on my second attempt to attend my appointment I was unable to get into the building (I even tried calling the other businesses in the building but they were not in the building). I rang the door bell, attempted to call the number on the website but it was out of service. I also tried to email but the email was sent back to me. I waited outside the building in -22 degree weather for twenty minutes. After this experience I read the Google reviews and am absolutely horrified by the responses the owner has made to the comments posted. I am disappointed as my first experience was fine, but I will not be returning.

Used to be great. Loved Isla, but last couple years, every time I go they tell me I have no passes even though I do. Then she was sick recently which is awful. But twice in row I showed up to appointments and didn't get service. In December I waited 45 min past appointment time, then went in and was already naked but she was clearly too sick to do service. Why didn't she just cancel? Well I guess it was because she needed money. I didn't get service (was leaving next day for vacation) but was still asked to buy pass for $100. She was going to give me great deal (5 for $100) since she didn't do service. I had to go to a different shop (which was actually better).Next month, I make appoint for me and my boyfriend, all through messages so documented. She just didn't show up. When I contacted her, she didn't say sorry, instead she just kept insisting I was wrong. In the last year, I have paid her almost $300 but have only had 2 Brazil's and one half leg (very different from her posted prices). She said she had no record of me or my payments even though I've been a client for more than a decade. I sent her proof of all my payments and she said she would refund me but she didn't. What happened with you Isla? Sad

By far the best sugaring experience I’ve ever had! Great results, quick and affordable services. Always great to see Ila as well! I’ll never go anywhere else for sugaring

Affordable, yes. But NOT worth it for the service/customer service you receive. During a previous appointment, I was booked for a brazillian and under arms. I showed up a little early for my appointment so she was able to take me in early. To my suprise, she left me half way through for about 15 mins to go sugar another client, then come back and finish my service. Which in my opinion is extremely unprofessional. Because I have a VIP card I still came back. Today I was booked in for a brazillian, underarm and half legs with Illa. Apparently since Illa was not in today I ended up with Donna. As a client, its much appreciated to be notified of the change. Perhaps a phone call would be nice. I certainly book with a specific sugarist for a reason. Regardless of this I still continued on with my service. Firstly, my appointment started late. This normally would not be an issue, however, I was then told I wouldnt even be able to get my legs done because there wasnt enough time. This was extremely frustrating for me, considering she started my service late and there was no clients waiting when I left. Will definately not return nor would recommend.

Illa is great! She knows her job & doesn’t make you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. Really doesn’t even hurt like you would expect. She has years of professional experience and I would definitely recommend her! She is also hilarious and just a sweet human as a bonus.
