Went here for the first time yesterday to get a long overdue haircut for my 2.5 year old toddler. They did it so patiently and were fully engaging him . When the haircut started my son was on the verge of tears because he hates cutting his hair. But because the barber was talking and engaging him within a few minutes my son was all smiles happily getting his hair cut! We used to travel far to get his hair cut from a kids salon in high park paying a lot more and for mediocre service and a wailing toddler but had a great experience here. Thank you Young Star Salon!

Unsure what is the status of this business - open or closed ??Phone is never answered so I dropped by today (May 3, 2023) at 2:00 PM and door was locked - no signs, no signs of life so who knows ...Might be a part time business but unsure if they are actually operating or just a front ...

The service is good but they literally don’t answer the phone to book an appointment which as a customer I find very frustrating. If I call you everyday between your hours of operation for 1 week straight at least answer one of my calls. I have been calling for a week to book an appointment and there is no one picking up. Very disrespectful and never using this place again.

My husband got a haircut, which was clean and nice, but I am giving 3 stars because instead of the regular price of 25$ he was charged 30$ at the end saying his haircut wasn't a basic cut. It WAS a basic cut, infact a very simple one. So we don't think that was fair. We had other options for that price. Also, not telling the price is advance just doesn't feel right. We will find something else

My buddies and I have been going to this salon for quite sometime now. The barber always gives the cut I ask for. What I like the most is he takes his reasonable time with the job and doesn’t rush. Haven’t had a bad experience so far.

Highly recommend Young Star Salon. Alan has been my go-to barbershop for a few years now. Excellent attention to detail no rush service and I always leave happy and looking much better than before.
