Amy has been an invaluable resource for our family. Our child has been going to her for 1.5 years, and at the beginning was mostly unable to communicate without a parent translating, and now can communicate well independently. Amy also raised some concerns she noted about our child (in a very compassionate way), and because of that have finally been able to get some resources for helping with learning in school. Very thankful i chose to go to Simcoe Speech Clinic. The entire staff there are extremely friendly and caring. It is very clear they are dedicated in supporting my sons goals. Thank you SSC!!!

Called today for some advice with our two year old daughter. The woman who answered the phone was polite, honest and informative. She took the time to explain how to approach the scenario and when/if to visit…I’m not even a client and she was willing to help me like that- I can only imagine how much she must do for her clients. Just from the brief interaction- I highly recommend

Amy worked with my son and within the first few visits we saw improvements but the fact he was excited to go see her and play.. was the icing on top. We are very very grateful to have found Amy. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed with Amy and my last visit to the Simcoe speech clinic. A couple of weeks ago (feb 12) i was booked for an appointment for 4:30pm. On February 7, they changed my appointment to 10:00am. I was confused and thought my appointment was for 10:30am. I never received a confirmation email or call within a couple of days before the appointment. The day of the appointment I was running a bit late for what I thought was my 10:30 appointment, so at 10:16am I texted AMY to let her know that I’ll be five minutes late. I was already on my way. The iMessage showed “READ” instantly. So I figured it was okay. When I got there, Amy informed me that the appointment was for 10:30am, and claimed she never received the message that I was late, even though she clearly did since it was labeled “read”. I apologized for being late, and based on her responses she clearly was not willing to work with me. She went on to tell me that there is nothing she can do and if I wanted to continue seeing her I’d be billed for the missed appointment, because I was considered a “no show”. I totally understand protocol, but she was very rude, and acted as though she didn’t want my business. I told her that I didn’t receive a reminder email and she said “I don’t handle that”. Which in my opinion is very unprofessional considering it appears as though it’s her clinic. You’d think someone who cares about their business would be on top of her appointments. It was clear she did not care to help a customer who made a small mistake. That’s no way to run a business. Not to mention, on one of our first sessions. As my husband, son and I waited in the car for our appointment, Amy messaged and said she is running late. She ended up showing up 25 minutes late for our appointment. I would have continued to see her if she handled the situation differently, but I will definitely not be returning or referring any friends or family.
