Active Start Childcare-Sage Hill

My family has been with the Active Start programs since their Country Hills location first opened in 2018. We've had our children enrolled at Country Hills, then transferred to Sage Hill when that location opened. My kids love and us parents do too!! I love the buildings and the space they've come up with. The teachers are so caring and great with the kids. The buildings are kept extra clean and are very bright and welcoming. It will be a sad day for us, when we no longer require Child Care, as Active Start has been a major part of our family.

I’m a dad that has kids in this daycare. Honestly they come back home tired and happy, that’s the best sign they had a blast at school. Active Start has an app that allows me to see pictures of what they are doing during the day, so having a peek into their lives in the middle of the workday and meetings is a plus. They say they like food and always come back with lots of adventures to share with me. I’m very very pleased with the way they care of my kids here. The building itself is amazing, quite big and good sunlight. I cannot recommend this place enough.

My two boys attend this daycare and I cannot say enough good things. Initially I was really worried about sending my kids to a big daycare but it has proven me wrong time and time again. The teachers here are the bread and butter of this place (obviously). They are so kind, warm and truly care about the kids and this is very apparent in the attachments my boys have to their teachers. We have been through three different classrooms now and every teacher has been amazing, I really mean that.I love the Montessori approach to learning and all the fun sensory activities they get to do each day. The admin staff is super accommodating and friendly as well. The app is great because I get lots of pictures of what my kids are up to each day. Every request I have given has been graciously accepted and carried out to the best of their ability. Really glad a place like this exists.

I can go to work thinking my kids are in good hands, the school has big big windows that is a very important plus for me, the environment is friendly and they really care about the well being of them. They have policies on place to make sure safety is priority. Honestly I cant think of another childcare that beats what Active Start offers. The building, the space, the food, the teachers, the activities, the playgrounds, the gyms, the celebrations, everything seems to be on point and they are definitely professionals with kids. I only wish this were the standards for childcare in Canada. My kids absolutely love coming here and for my family this place is such a blessing.

We love Active Start. We have attended both locations and switched only because of the commute time. Great set up, clean rooms, good communication. The teachers are wonderful and our son has made some major leaps in learning. Highly recommend!

Been sending out 1.5 year old son here for just over 7 months. The front end staff are always super friendly and welcoming during drop offs and pick ups. The staff in the classroom have been amazing. It took about a week for our son to adjust to daycare but after that he was always happy to go and happy to be picked up, which is all you can really ask for from a kids who has like 10 words. Very happy about our decision.

This is the best daycare in the whole World!!! My son is 4 and he is running to the daycare every single morning. My daughter is 1.5 and the teachers are taking amazing care of her. We just love this place! 100% the best place for kids to grow up!

My kids enjoy this daycare tremendously, this school feels like a real paradise for kids. They have a climber inside for the days that are cold and there are several outdoor play areas as well for kids for different ages, they also have an indoor gym for kids that are a bit older and one specific for the babies.The food is excellent, I believe they have a nutritionist that guides them, they also have vegetarian options. They pay extreme importance on the allergies and each table has a sign of what the kid is not allowed to eat in order to avoid all kinds of mistakes.The rotation of the teachers is not often so your kids really get to connect with their teachers. The school is full of activities, they tend to celebrate all kinds of things and traditions in order to promote inclusivity. The people that work here overall seem happy, that means they have good conditions.The school is pretty big, clean and bright with big big windows that enhance kids morale. I just love this place because my kids love it. They offer the grant and the subsidies given for the government. I only wish I could enrol myself too. LOL

Our little one has been attending the country hills location for this daycare for the last 2 years or so and he’s had such positive experiences and exposure! The Montessori has really helped him develop his skills and we are confident that he will be well prepared for kindergarten when he attends!He has made many new friends and enjoys the activities and songs in his little class!

My son started with Active Start when he was 3yrs old. I love the activities he does, the pictures we receive and the warmth we feel from everyone at Sage Hill. They're accommodating and respectful of parents wishes and relay important information confidentially and respectfully. I'm very happy with Active Start as my first venture into the daycare world.
