To begin, the workshop on making a skateboard was a gift I received for Christmas, and what a gift it was.I did woodworking in highschool, so I was excited when my girlfriend booked me up for a woodworking workshop on how to make a skateboard.The lesson was in French, which isn't my strongest languge, but even then the instructor was really nice and tried to make sure everyone understands, even if he had to speak English to us. He explained how to use all the tools well and it was easy to ask him questions or even about his opinion on how the skateboard is coming along.My girlfriend also managed to pay a fee to be there with me to help me with the translation part, which I think is a good service and I'm glad they offer it. Came out happy and satisfied with the board finished (needs material oil) and with all the other parts necessary to finish it (wheels, grip tape, etc). If you are looking for a well prepared workshop on woodworking, or the many other workshops the offer, don't hesitate. Book your workshop and enjoy it.

The organization is great, a chance to build back lost skills and arts to allow each of us to live more independently and reuce our footprint in the environment. I took the beginner knife sharpening course and was able to bring my worst knives back to a good cut after they were butchered by a supposed professional. We need to learn these important skills not necessarily to be able to do it ourselves, but also so we can know if the professionals we are trusting are actually doing a good job. I loved it, learned alot! So grateful that a place like this exists with the eight professionals, rhe right tools and experience and encouragement, even as a beginner. I've done 2 classes up till now, a third one coming soon, and plan to take more

The knife sharpening class was excellent. The teacher is passionate and knowledgeable. My knives cut really well now

I took a screenprinting and bookbinding class and it was really fun. Great space and really friendly people here. Would highly recommend.

I have taken 2 workshops at Les Affûtés and they were well structured and fun with good teachers. These workshops allowed me to learn the skills to create abjects that I never thought I could make! They are a fun non-intimidating way to learn a new hobby.

Very nice woodworkshop, nice people and ambiance. Teacher was very knowledgable and kind. I love the price of the course, considering you actually go home also with a real product you can keep!I am for sure going back. Hereby a photo of my end product.
