Perplexcity Escape Rooms & Board Game Lounge
I'm curious about the success rate of the escape rooms. Our group found the rooms quite challenging, but it was a fun afternoon! Side note: have you seen the replies the manager has been sending to these reviews? So defensive and pretty unprofessional. He/she puts the blame on the customers for their bad experiences. If I were the owner I would want someone else to be the face of my company.

Perplexcity Escape Rooms & Board Game Lounge
Had a good time here. We definitely appreciated the size of the space and full bar. Staff were friendly. I did notice that the walkie talkies were hit and miss, so we had to be interupted a couple times to get new ones. Also I would have liked more variety in the puzzles since most ended up just opening locks which got repetitive. In the end we all had a good time.

My family and I booked an escape room, teenagers and adults. On the day of our booking, our vehicle broke down and we had to reschedule. The person I spoke with on the phone was nice, but I could hear the manager in the background getting angry: I don't care about their issue!" We were able to reschedule

Perplexcity Escape Rooms & Board Game Lounge
I did the Blackbeard's Brig room with my family over the Christmas holidays and had a decent-ish experience. We had a little problem with the room being set up incorrectly (a clue had fallen behind some furniture and had not been put in its proper location - our GM gave us an extra five minutes for this though, which was a plus!) and also found out that some tech was broken, which was disappointing as it sounded like it would have been a really awesome feature. Because of this, the improvised ending was a little lacklustre and our group didn't really get much satisfaction even though we escaped on time. The rest of the puzzles were great though, and we really enjoyed the non-tech related puzzles! We also really enjoyed the decor and how accommodating the room was for a larger group (we had eight people). It's been awhile since we visited, so hopefully the broken tech is back up and running for future customers!

Poor service. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, there were no staff visible. We waited a few minutes before any employee showed up. We said we had a reservation, and she then asked us to wait. Two more staff appeared, who ignored us. The first employee returned, and the three of them socialized for several minutes. I had to remind them again of our reservation before one of them went to set up our room and let us get started. The escape room experience was fun and challenging (Zanzibar) but not great for kids (9 and 13), who didn't feel that they had a lot to do, the puzzles were too hard for them. The experience was also quite noisy as the place got busier and bells and alarms were regularly going off.

[Please read entire review as I have updated] Some of the board games were missing pieces and some of the stand-up games there (foosball, ping-pong, air hockey) were in a desperate(!) need of a replacement. There's a Mrs. Pac-Man and a few great pinball games there to play ($1 cost) while you wait for your escape room. The escape room itself is fun and the games master watching the room was helpful. UPDATE (Feb 2019): Improved from 2.5 stars to 4 stars! The new owners have worked very hard to make this place more comfortable and increase the offering. It now has a comfortable spot in the corner to play SNES mini, Sega Genesis and Playstation VR. They're also trying a new menu which includes smoked wings if you're into that and have worked hard to improve many of the issues that existed under the previous management. The drink offering is downsized but pretty much everything else here received major improvements.

First time here and everything was really amazing. There was a minor wait to get into our escape room, but once we did it was amazing. Nothing was given to you easily and it was the right amount of mental challenge! The only down side was that there isn’t always somebody there to give you a clue. So if you’re stuck and your game runner is talking to somebody else, they will not respond. The food was great and the prices are just right for the portion of food that you get, they also have a very wide range of board fames! Overall i will be back and had so much fun.

Overall not a bad experience. The room was pretty good, but more hands-on puzzles working with magnets and electronics would have been nice (there were a lot of traditional locks to open). The decor, props and the way the video was started also seemed worn and a bit low-budget compared to other escape room establishments at the same price. We also lost some time since our walkie talkie stopped working twice and we had to leave the room to go find someone for a clue we were waiting for.Again, overall a pretty good experience, and had it been cheaper we would definitely go back. It was simply too expensive for the quality of the room and establishment, especially with three people but paying for four.

Perplexcity Escape Rooms & Board Game Lounge
Went for my birthday! Had some food played some games and then did an escape room. The food was awesome there was a slight mix up with my friends meal and our escape room but they were very busy that night and it was quickly fixed! The owner even made sure we were enjoying ourselves! can't remember our servers name but everyone we interacted with including the game masters were great! I will definitely be back to do more escape rooms and will tell all my friends they should check it out!
