Clementson Wayside Park

It's that time of the year. The sturgeon are spawning, the pelicans are there by the hundreds, it's a beautiful sight.

Pretty nice place to just sit and relax or bring a rod and do some fishing.

What a beautiful place! Will absolutely be back, with picnic basket in hand.

I remember going there many times while growing up in Baudette, it is so good to see it being developed, this place is one of Lake of the Woods Natural resources. The County needs to develop more Natural beauty places like this in the County. I would recommend further developing the wilderness drive. Historical markers, points of interest and easy directional signs so visitors don't get lost. Plus a rest area or two for people to stop and picnic or just take in the natural beauty. Baudette/ Lake of the Woods County needs to become a travelers destination. Use the assets present to use as a draw and develop them. This will even attract more business places plus income for the City and County. We are losing population fast in the City and County. We have great fishing resorts, but if they want to bring the family, what is there for them, this is something to think about to make this area a destination stop for tour buses and family's, otherwise the area will not grow. Just do it.

Absolutely gorgeous in the spring when the water is high! Fishing is usually pretty good there too!

This wayside is an absolute must-stop every time I pass through the area. Park features a great view across the Rainy River towards Ontario with a sample of Canadian Shield rock outcroppings at the mouth of the Rapid River. A scenic gem!
