Blaauw Eco Forest

Peaceful place, easy-walking trails, beautiful trees ... serenity.

Small forest area, there is a parking lot for 4-5 cars. Trails are in good shape. There are couple of benches and a picnic table. No washrooms. Nice relaxing walk.

GPS was very convoluted driving in from Ralston Cs, we left by going over to 264 st and straight south which was way easier. Very nice place to walk with kids.

Natural, quiet, it's own small unique world. Needs more parking spots.

What a lovely little gem of a forest!This park is kept and used students of TWU. The trails are wide and made to be wheelchair/stroller accessable. I had a stroller with me and it was easy to maneuver. No big roots or bumps. The only slight thing that may slowdown a wheelchair would be getting on and off the footbridge pathway.Several benches throughout the forest. Trail begins in the parking lot and if you stay to the right, will bring you to 260th, walk North on 260th and reenter the forest, in the Guirrhoorn Bog, then continue staying to the right to find the big tree and picnic table. After finding the little doors in the picnic area, keep to the right and you'll come back out on 257a, walk South a bit along the road to get back to your vehicle.These roads are very quiet, deadend roads so there's not much traffic to worry about as you walk on the road.Small parking lot, maybe room for 4 vehicles?No washrooms.

So beautiful and serene. It was quiet. We had a nice walk. Will visit again

How is this spot so quiet and yet so well maintained? It's absolutely beautiful, definitely worth a visit! No make that two!

Small park but very scenic and well marked trails thru a beautiful old growth forest with biblically inspired interpretive signs as the property is managed by a Christian university
