Went for a leisurely stroll through the park trail the other day for the first time. Decided on one of the shorter paths and really enjoyed the walk.

A great trail close to Halifax, a lot of spots to stop and enjoy the views. Great for walking, a lot of cyclists on the trail, you really have to watch out for that.

Tried to go to the walking trails today. The parking lot covered in ice and potholes. We tried to go down the trail but there was to much ice to safely use but that is to be expected in late Feb. I will try to go back in the spring and will update my post. I am quite sure this is a lovely trail when winter has passed. The location of the parking lot was well marked and there was information at beginning of the trail.

This is a great walking trail, with well maintained and smooth trails. Heading out of the parking lot you can do a loop down towards the lake and return to the parking lot. You can also cross the road and take the trail along the lake beside the road. If you exit the trail at the ball park, you can cross the road and get on another trail that will lead you back to the parking lot. As well there are longer trails that could expend your walk but to make a loop of it you have to go through the subdivision. This trail would be suitable for people with mobility issues and could be done in a walker or wheelchair.
