So...I have a document that needs to have a stamp and signature.. what Notaries do!!! I contact the office explain it is a out of country document and I need two witnesses. Get a cost. Send the document and bam all of a sudden the price jumps from $60 to $100. The guy has to do the exact same work. One stamp one signature. He says..oh oh it's a this and that..oh oh it is going out of the country! Guess what? A notary is for things out of country vs a commissioner of oaths which is for the province. He claims he needs to verify the document and review. Wait! No! All he is doing if signing that my signature is who I am and my name is legal and I have documents to support. The irony is he just lost $60 because he thought he could turn it into $100. And we all wonder why lawyers have a bad rap! Btw I found someone to do it for $49 keep on trying to twist what you do to squeeze more money out of people! So after seeing this reply. End of story...a stamp/signature is for nothing more than verification of the person signing and not of the documentation. If you have made a will and you want a notary to sign it says that you Annie with documentation signed papers.. that's all I wanted. A signature that was legal to say I annie with documentation signed these papers. A notary does not needed to go over the Will
