Super friendly and accommodating front end staff. Taylor & Ally helped me with some stubborn hair concerns and they both did an excellent job. Super knowledgeable, patient and reasonable in their pricing. I highly recommend this salon and these two amazing stylists. Simply great energy in this place! Thank you again.

I found this salon by accident and am so glad I went. The first time I went there I was blown away by the friendliness of the workers and talented stylists. I loved my haircut and stylist so I went back. It's been a couple of months and now I don't trust anywhere else. It's a bit if a drive for me but so worth it. I have never been dissapointed. Its near a Starbucks that's amazing so it has become a routine to go after my haircut. I get my hair washed, cut, and styled, the cost is usually about 60 dollars. Highly recommend!

Literally the worst hair experience of my life. Went in for balayage which I'd already had but was very grown out from a year. 4.5 hours and $320 (before tip, and far more than their website claims for a senior stylist) later, my hair looked exactly the same as when I walked in. Somehow 2 streaks have been added, nothing more. When I emailed to complain they said I could come back in so they could fix it. I explained I have anxiety and am neurodivergent and that sitting again for possibly worse hair sounded terrible, so I'm out the money, with hair that hasn't changed a single bit. Do not go here.

It's always a pleasure getting my hair done at Kharma. Kirstin is amazing. I love my hair and our visits.

I’m still giving this business a 4 star because I don’t think one employee should ruin a businesses reputation. I’m going to start with the positive because I don’t want to hurt a local business. I had an amazing experience with KARISSA I believe her name was she wasn’t my original stylist so I’m not 100% sure. She washed my hair gave me a good massage and got the grease build up out of my hair. She styled it the way I wanted and even cut my bangs because they were bugging me. She did a great job and I loved the way I looked. She was professional and kind. Now for the bad that was my worst hair experience of my life. I won a contest on IG for tinsel and curl before the Beyoncé cover band. I got a call changing my appointment for earlier which was fine. I arrived and KARISSA said tinsel was included which I wasn’t aware of at the time and not sure what it was. My mother in law got to come and get the same but she chose just a style. I see her getting her hair washed and confused why I didn’t. Later I learned it was just a dry style which I should have asked because my hair was still a bit wet and greasy. I get into the chair I forget her name and I can’t find her on the website so I’m happy to see she no longer works there because I want to back but I never want to see her again. She said the tinsel I had to pay for which I was confused about because I thought I won it. So we just do curls she doesn’t even finish drying my hair and keeps looking at her smart watch and finishes so fast. I’m so embarrassed at this Point because I look awful but my mother in law gave up her spot to make sure I looked good since I won. You would think she would want to do a good job to get another client / post on social. She walked out so fast I couldn’t even tip which everyone laughed at me for even saying. We tipped KARISSA of course and I would see her again for sure. CJ was even so kind to offer to finish my mother in law’s hair. This was fri march 10th

I’ve seen Danielle at Kharma downtown a few times now and it is such a great experience every time. I used to hate getting my hair trimmed or cut because it would end up inches shorter and so straight across but Danielle really know what she’s doing. She gives me the most perfect trim as if nothing has even been cut off even though it has! I came to her with a lot of regrowth from a past balayage and wanted to go back to my natural colour (brown) and she knocked it out of the park. Recently went back to deal with some natural fading after about 4 months and she toned it back to such a nice colour. I won’t be seeing anyone else for my hair as long as I’m in Victoria, she is so knowledgeable and friendly
