VV Tapas Lounge
Decided to stop in here for a Friday night dinner and was SO Glad we did. The space is really warm and inviting and so was the staff. We tried the Dine-out menu which for the price was SO much food and it was all sharable plates which I love. There was detail put into it like surprise little soups and all the dishes were fantastic. I think other reviewers mention the mushroom risotto for good reasons. Our server Rowan was great. One of the better dining experiences we've had recently. Will be back!

This is one of our favourite places in the city! My family has lived here for 7+ years and our hobby is finding the greatest places in this beautiful city that are reasonably priced but offer an incredible experience. I can honestly say this place is a hidden gem within the city. Chase offers a phenomenal, unique, one of a kind experience amongst the city. His wine tastings with tapas is one of the best values in the city! He is fun, Knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his customer experience. We celebrated our parents 35th wedding anniversary with his pre-set wine tasting & charcuterie and it was 100%worth every penny! I would highly recommend VV Tapas lounge for a special event or a fun date night !!! If you haven’t been here before, drop everything and go!

WOW! I’m mind blown. Honestly, best tapas place in the city! The ambiance is gorgeous, food is delicious and service is outstanding. Will definitely be coming back for more!

We came for the DOV tasting menu and we loved EVERYTHING. The atmosphere was romantic, the servers were kind, professional & helpful, and the food was mouthwatering. Pictured are our favourites: charcuterie board and warm cauliflower dip. We were very surprised by how much we loved the amuse ginger soup! We will definitely come back.

Hidden gem. The menu sounded simple enough, but we were pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and nicely presented the dishes were! The service was attentive, the owner / our server was super friendly and personable. There was a good selection of wines. The room has lots of natural light which gave way to a good energy to the restaurant. There was also free parking right outside!!

Cannot say enough good things about this small tapas lounge tucked away in East Vancouver. Innovative tapas-sized bits, perfect for sharing. Amazing curated wine list. Go see Vicky and she'll treat you well! Will definitely recommend and be back.

Came in little hungry left starvingThe risotto was undercooked & lack of mushroom, the shrimp cocktail was an odd decision to fry the shrimp(very dry) instead of pan searing, and the Barata was a small overly complicated dish.I can see that the chef really cares about presentation and I appreciate that as a chef myself but the lack of rich flavour in the dishes and attention to detail really shows. A lot of the dishes feel very over complicated adding too much to make it seem special actually defeats these dishes cause they are quite simple dishes let the main ingredient speak for themselves don’t mask it.At the end of the if you’re gonna do small portion sizes you better do it well and make them unforgettable but this is quite forgettable. The wine was fine as they can’t really mess that up.There is really a lot of potential to fix this small mistakes and create something great But as it stands right now these small mistakes add up to a unsatisfying dining experience.

This place definitely deserves a 5-star rating! We’d love to visit again and I highly recommend this restaurant especially for private functions.Communication: I was communicating mainly with Dee since Day 1 of the planning up to the completion of the event. She is very efficient and prompt with responses to emails. Both Dee and Chase were very responsive; all calls and emails were answered in a timely manner.Service: The service we received was exemplary and truly unmatched. The whole staff were friendly and polite, and our requests were accommodated with no qualms. The restaurant manager, Chase was hands on and ensured that everything was well taken care of.Ambiance: The restaurant presents as having a stunning mix of eclectic, modern and industrial vibe. Add the exposed elements and reclaimed wood that’s softened by this beautiful ivy garland as accent backdrop. The restaurant’s high ceiling, large floor-to-ceiling sliding doors helped maximize the space and did not make the restaurant feel overcrowded despite the number of guests.Food: They were generous enough to serve us a total of 7 types of canapés per person and 3 charcuterie wine barrels. Each canapés had its own distinct flavour (they have vegan and gluten-free options), definitely lots of options for the guests to choose from. Kids were served with burger sliders and potato chips. It was an open bar and they offered cocktails, wine and beer from the drink menu. The best part is they adjusted the menu according to our budget.Parking: The restaurant is situated in the heart of Strathcona and there are lots of street parking. They also have free underground parking which is a plus!

Wanted to have a good dinner on a business trip, and instead got a world class meal. Trust the chef and get the fixed price. Stunning sauces, beautiful balance or flavor and texture, and every bite was interesting.Kudos to the chef.
