Scenic Woods Golf Club

I just played this golf course and I’m very impressed. The layout was phenomenal and the course was in very great condition. We got sandwiches at the turn and were served by Alannah. She was very kind and helpful to our group, would definitely recommend this course!

Worst golf experience I have ever had.My wife and I booked 18 holes on golf now for 4:30. In the pro shop they told me we might not get 18 holes in before 8:00 which is when the carts have to be back in by, I agreed that I would have the cart in by 8. After finishing putting on the 9th hole at 5:59 the starter came up to me and said that we could not tee off on the back 9 anymore because it was after 6:00, which wasn't true.And when I asked for a refund the guy in the pro shop got very rude and started to lie and say that I only booked 9 holes.(So according to him I paid $110 for 9 holes). He said he was unable to give refunds and gave me the managers card to call the next day.So here I am giving a bad review because the manager told me he can't give refunds because that's not company policy. I couldn't even get a raincheck for 9 holes. And he hung up on me.This place and the staff are a joke.Save yourself some grief and go anywhere else to play golf.

Would have given ZERO stars, but couldn't.On two occasions now I have had dealings with the Manager Richard Sweeting who IMO has ZERO customer service.The latest...We bought passes through golf north which include a cart....got an email today saying carts are not available likely because of the rain.... TOTALLY get it... happy to walk... so I asked if our voucher (for the carts portion) could be honored and the answer was NO?? Like really Richard?? Something so simple...The first incident was when they closed the course early due to rain, but failed to notify us (even though we got an email saying IF you want to cancel

It’s been about 10 years since I’ve played Scenic Woods, it’s like a time capsule. Looks like they haven’t spent a cent on the coarse. Greens were decent but everything else is brown . Cart paths are a dust bowl. Hard to breathe if your following another cart. No cart girl on a Saturday. Played Batteau Creek 3 weeks ago which is part of the same group ownership. Loved it , coarse was green and lush and they just put new cart paths in . It’s a shame because Scenic does have a descent layout.

I don't usually write reviews but I had to this time. Course was in terrible condition for the time of the year. There is no way this course should be charging almost $80 in the middle of a weekday. They also failed to mention that the greens had just been aerated and the greens were pretty much impossible to putt on. This is definitely something that they should be telling golfers at the time of booking or at least at check-in and offer a discounted rate. The holes that were cut out from the aerated were just blown off to the side of the green and left there. Tee boxes are all sloped so you can't even have a flat tee shot and most of them were just dirt and sand. They have also removed all the wind shields from the carts so unless you like getting eating bugs while talking to your friend next to you and having no protection from rain I would avoid renting a cart. Scenic Woods used to be a great course when I played here as a junior member and it's too bad to see how far the quality has dropped. There is no blaming the weather either as every other course in the area is pristine right now. Will not be returning.

Not even worth a Star!! Incredibly disrespectful to a group of young men wanting to play a round of golf. Had them labeled from the min they walked in the door, Saying Tic Tok and Instagram don't do them any justice? What does that even mean? This was a group of elite athletes, they know the etiquette of the Golf Course so by accusing them or labeling them something they are not is absolutely disgusting. These are the young men that will carry on the sport of golf and yet you belittle them and label them upon arrival, shame on you!!! Don't worry they won't be back but neither will a lot of others after this incident !!!

Don’t bother. Incredibly rude owner/management who will DEMAND you have a credit card with a minimum $5000 limit if you want to ride in a cart. 1 member of our 4 man group was labelled a “suspect golfer” with out a given reason or explanation. Tee boxes were sand and dirt, yard markers on each hole varied.Some had them, some didn’t. Not to mention the putrid smell of sewage from the well water the course uses. As well as the chicken farm right next door. For this price point you’d expect to be treated with kindness and fairness upon entering the pro shop, And my group experienced everything but.

Booked for 4 people for 9 holes at 5:30pm, surprised when two of us with a cart was over $100. Golf is expensive nowadays but seemed quite a bit too much for the course. Then were told we had to be done by 7:30, no big deal we were playing a scramble and if we ran out of time with a hole left it wouldn’t be the end of the world. We’re slowly playing along when after we tee off at 6 the marshal comes up and says we have to be in much earlier and suggests we skip a hole. So we finish that hole and go to the next and he’s sitting in his cart over the green. We play that hole and he stops us and angrily tells us he told us to skip that hole and now we have to leave. We ask if we can speak to someone at the clubhouse and he tells us it’s all closed up and gives us an extension to call golf north. Finally, we park the cart and need to use the washroom and another person tells us that’s closed. Seems there’s a bunch of stories like ours and it’s very disappointing to be treated like this on a course I’ve enjoyed playing a few times over the years.

Greens are bad. Aerated , it’s like plinko. If you just want to hit driver and irons it’s fine. No cart service either on a Saturday. Maybe try it late July.

Haven't been in years but figured we'd try it out again.. bad call. Drastically over priced. Marshalling is non existent. 10min wait on most holes, 2 groups in que. At $80, you have way better options available.
