Forest Bistro & Lounge
Very cool place to eat. Really enjoyed the chicken dish. Also had the beef carpaccio but was disappointed as there wasn't any capers. Definitely still recommend!

Tables were sticky and kind of gross, food was pretty underwhelming small portions, bad service from the staff. Probably go to get McDonald's after since we're still hungry. 30+$ for 2 pork chops and peas. No other sides come with it either. Expected better based on previous reviews.

Upon arriving we were greeted fairly quickly. We were seated and water was provided right away, along with the menus. Nice atmosphere, wasn't too busy when we arrived. Our server appeared after we had some time to make a decision on what to order, they immediately took our order for our meals. We continued with the drink menu while our server put our order in. When they returned we placed our drink order. Our drinks were brought to us soon after, while we waited for our meals. Upon arrival, our meals were hot smelled great. The steak was perfect, cooked exactly how I ordered. The lamb was, well awesome, my wife wouldn't stop raving about it. The bread tower was good too. In all, it was an exceptional dinner. After we finished eating our server cleared the table and gave us a run down of the available deserts. We ordered the one with fire involved, which was fun and delicious. Thank you to the hard working staff.Update:We returned and ordered the same thing, except the dessert was different. We ordered the special, banana cream tart, which was delicious. The food was consistent with our last visit, everything tasted great. This time we had the pleasure of enjoying some live music with our meal from Andy Redhead. Thank you for the great night.If you're in Powell River and looking for a nice place to eat that won't disappoint, check this place out.

Great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food! Everything was beautifully plated. Great wine and cocktail list. Beautiful view right on the ocean. The service was excellent. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Powell River.

Fantastic Staff truly Amazing food , hands down the best place to dine in Powell River. A must stop to enjoy great conversations with locals and staff while taking in a gorgeous view from the patio , we will make this our go to place when we come back to visit . Cheers to the Owners and staff for making an environment for a memorable evening!!

The incredible view is second only to the outstanding food. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the best meal in town. If you can order an assortment and share with your group, do. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious from taste to texture and back again. An absolute must in PR.

Forest Bistro & Lounge
We recently held our wedding reception at the Forest Bistro and Lounge and an amazing time was had by all. Young and old enjoyed the wonderful food, drinks and amenities. The patio view was gorgeous and having access to the pool tables, air hockey, pinball and video games was great entertainment for all ages. John and Jess are fantastic hosts and we are already looking forward to planning our next visit and family celebration with them.

The cheese burger and the eggplant Parmesan was out of this world. We loved the ambience, the music, the ocean views, and the service was just right. John and Jessica the owners are wonderful. Thank you

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the patio on July 7. Such a relaxing space! The scallops were delicious and we enjoyed both salads on the menu. The presentation was gorgeous but more importantly sooo tasty!!
