Northern Karate Thornhill

It's been 5 years since our son started taking karate classes at this School and we couldn't be happier. It is not just a sport he does a couple times a week, but a very important part of his life. He has learned values like respect, responsibility, discipline and that with patience and hard work he can achieve anything he sets his mind to. We thank Kyoshi Dominic and all his team of instructors and staff and we look forward to see our son continue to learn and grow with their guidance for many more years.

Signing our son up at Northern Karate Thornhill has been one of the best decisions we have made for our family.Not only have we noticed positive behavior and confidence changes in our son, he loves attending each and every class and it's so fun to see him excited for Karate and to be learning the art of Karate.All of the instructors are amazing! They are all experienced and fun, yet stern when it is required. They are attentive and thorough and they make the classes fun for the children too, which to me, is very important.Our son is very engaged and wakes up every morning asking if he has Karate today and is disappointed when it's not a class day.We have been impressed with every aspect of the school, the instructors, the methods and the Dojo.I would highly recommend Northern Karate Thornhill to anyone considering joining. The quality of the student is a direct result of a quality teacher. Kyoshi Domonic is one of the finest teachers I have ever met. His students are his staff and we also get to train with many guest martial artists of different disciplines including some MMA fighters as well. Northern Karate Thornhill is fantastic.

If I could give more stars than 5, I absolutely would. My son started Karate a few short months ago. He walked in very angry and out of control. Within several weeks, he not only found a love of a new activity, he found a place where he could be supported by incredible staff and learn discipline and focus. The skills he is coming out with each week are helping to manage his anger, give him a physical outlet for his energy and build confidence in his world. I am so grateful to Dominic and his staff for all the work they are putting into Charlie. He loves karate and I love everything karate is teaching him

My son has been going for the past 11 years. He started at age 5 as a white belt. He is currently 16 years old, a second degree black belt and a sensei. Northern karate has helped to increase his confidence, and self esteem immensely over time. He loves going both to continue with his own training and to teach others.

I brought my son more than 15 years ago to the NKS Thornhill. Since then I joined school by myself having a great experience with professional, caring and passionate staff. Very recommended if you are looking for a school which not just teaches martial arts but cares about each student.

As a mother of a student who started at Northern Karate Thornhill when he was 7yrs old, I can say with complete confidence that this is the dojo every child should be part of. The owner, Dominic, along with his highly dedicated staff are deeply passionate about the program they run. They are professional, caring and excellent role models. My son’s journey at Northern Karate Thornhill over the past 11yrs has molded him to be a responsible and disciplined young adult. He is as passionate about training today as he was the first day he started. His attitude speaks volumes about the staff at this dojo - the continuing dedication and caring attitude towards each student is accompanied by always striving to improve the program to enrich each student’s goal. Dominic is an excellent leader and teacher.

As a parent of a teen young boy I am delighted to have NKS Thornhill team for over five years now train my boy to build his skills in karate and martial arts and most importantly building the young boy’s character with high confidence and discipline. As I said Domenic and his instructors team, I am not mentioning names because I don’t want to miss any, provide to my opinion one of the best training not only in in their core training in Karate but also on the social and candour skills to hone the young man’s integrity in our today’s life. My son loves going to Northern Karate Thornhill. This is a well run karate school, price is reasonable, All the instructors are excellent and they are really good with the kids. Great facility. Through this program we’ve also met other great families and kids. One of the best decisions I’ve made for my son.
