Festival Of Words

Experiencing the 4-day Festival of Words in Moose Jaw is a MUST.The festival has something for everyone - whether you are a writer yourself, a musician, a poet, etc - or just appreciate the arts!There are so many events & workshops that the only problem you’ll have is choosing which to do first.The workshop & events are all uniquely interesting and they bring in talent from all across Canada to share in the love of literacy & spread knowledge. The organizers are passionate about the festival & that excitement shows through to the experience for the attendees.I had the opportunity of performing at the slam poetry event a few years back & the Festival of Words was hands down the most well organized event I have ever performed at. The organizers made sure everyone was well taken care of & they were clear in the directions for the day, it was much appreciated.If you can’t wait for the festival in July then you can check out the open mic night the festival runs at Mitsu Cafe once a month throughout the year - it is always outstanding, but be sure to come early to secure a seat because it is usually packed!
